Hopeful.
Disbelief.
Excitement.
Those were what Rex felt on his way to this place.
Nothing about Empress Morgana was out of the ordinary, or at least he didn't see her acting weird.
Just like any other empress, she leads, empathizes, and provides hope to the people.
Leading the charge and facing anything that got in their way head-on gave hope to the people and soldiers, and now, she was accepted as the new empress. Someone like her—respectful, elegant, and strong will certainly fulfil her promise.
That is what Rex thought.
And to an extent, she did fulfil her words.
Both the Phoenix Feather and Maw of Oblivion were right there inside those chests, a few meters away.
If she hadn't had any intention of upholding her words—then she wouldn't have gone out of her way to bring those items here. And from that fact, Rex could discern that something had happened to her. Her circumstances changed.
Bringing these chests here was her way to absolve the guilt inside her.
