Isabelle Martin went straight to sleep as soon as she got home. She was so exhausted lately that she fell asleep the moment she hit the bed and didn't wake up until the next morning, awakened by hunger.
She went downstairs like a ghost in her pajamas, startling Mr. Martin. "How did you come down so quietly without a sound?"
"Hungry." Isabelle mumbled sleepily, pulling her sleep mask up, and grabbed a bun from the table to shove into her mouth.
Seeing her like this, Mr. Martin hurriedly yelled at her to slow down, noticing she was barefoot. He quickly brought her a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet. "It's already November, and the central heating starts only tomorrow. Be careful not to freeze your feet and catch a cold."
Isabelle nodded absentmindedly, grabbing another bun, and Mr. Martin quickly took it from her mouth and handed her a glass of milk, "Drink this first, don't choke."
"Okay." Isabelle didn't resist, gulping down the milk before continuing to eat the bun.
