Adam got whacked by the old man with a cane, leaving a red mark on his forehead. His expression grew even gloomier, which made Elder Piers a bit uncomfortable. He poked Adam with his cane, "What's this? You're saying I can't scold or hit you anymore? You're giving your grandpa the cold shoulder now?"
"No." Adam responded sullenly.
Elder Piers didn't believe him, "Your face says otherwise."
"Grandpa, I really do have a girlfriend, the type I'm planning to marry. As for previous stuff, I'll explain it to you later." Adam adjusted his mood and told the old man.
Elder Piers wanted to say more, but seeing Adam's low spirits, he didn't make it difficult for him, "Alright, since you're planning to get married, you should bring her to see your grandpa. It's rare to see you this serious, she must be a good girl."
