Adam Piers walked out carrying two large bags, suddenly feeling that the surroundings were unnaturally quiet. Looking up curiously, he noticed that everyone at the table, except for Teddy, was staring at him.
"Is there a problem?" Adam looked at the two large bags in his hands, took a step back, and then asked with a straight face.
"Cough, cough..." Elder Piers finally snapped out of it, "Are you really this broke?"
Brandon Piers also looked at Adam in disbelief, obviously quite disdainful.
Nevertheless, Adam, with his famously thick skin, ignored Brandon's disdainful look and answered the old man seriously, "Yes, Grandpa, I'm so broke I can't even put food on the table. Do you want to help your grandson out with some pocket money? Supporting a wife is expensive."
"Cough, cough!" This time it was Abigail who couldn't hold back, casting a complex glance at Adam before taking out her phone to send a message to Bertha Swift.
