Bertha Swift came out and saw Adam Piers sitting on the sofa, holding his phone with a blank expression on his face. Curiously, she waved her hand in front of him, "What are you thinking about?"
As soon as she asked, Adam grabbed her hand, sniffed it lightly near his nose, and murmured with a hint of slovenly, "Smells nice."
Bertha tingled all over from his actions and quickly withdrew her hand, looking at Adam warily.
Adam was amused, "Don't worry, I won't do anything to you tonight."
Hearing this, Bertha didn't relax at all; instead, she became more vigilant. She remembered he had said the same thing last night, but what was the outcome?
"Ahem..." Seeing Bertha's reaction, Adam coughed awkwardly, feeling as if his credibility was bankrupt with Bertha.
But he really didn't plan to do anything tonight.
Thinking so, Adam innocently looked at Bertha, meeting her slightly resentful and still damp face after her bath, suddenly feeling uncertain.
