Ren obviously understood what was happening here . It's obvious that the wolf king title is only given to the strongest wolf and till now the blue wolf standing in front of him was the wolf king , but now the black wolf had undergone an evolution and obviously had gotten way stronger , in fact the black wolf was actually slightly taller and more buff than the blue wolf , not only that , when the blue wolf arrived here , it said something about the black wolf evolving into a magical beast , after hearing this Ren was shocked because the black wolf evolving into magical beast meant that it could use magic , so that meant it wasn't just a test of strength , but magic as well , it was obvious that the blue wolf was the only wolf that could use magic so naturally it had no competitor , but now after the black wolf evolved things would be different , being stronger in physical strength meant that if the black wolf could get used to its new abilities , than the blue wolf would not be it's opponent , so it stands to reason that the blue wolf came here to take the blue wolf down before things got difficult .
if someone asked Ren a year ago what magic was , he wouldn't know , but in Levi's memories there were a lot of novels and other things about magic , so naturally Ren now knew what magic was , and because of that he was dumbfounded , if the black wolf could use magic than it'd be too overpowered and since Ren signed a soul pact with it , that meant that now Ren had a helper that could use magic , he couldn't help but get excited .
But now the blue wolf was here ruining his mood , this naturally angered Ren , and so he was ready to beat the pulp out of them , in fact he was kind of excited , he really wanted to test his new body .

After a bit of trash talking , the blue wolf finally decided to make it's move , it immediately assumed a charging stance , afterwards something strange happened , jolts of purple lightning started surging from the blue wolf's body , it open it's mouth and concentrated a ball of lightning in it's maw , and blasted it towards the black wolf and Ren .
Ren and the black wolf reacted extremely quickly , and jumped sideways , the black wolf jumped to it's left while Ren jumped to his right , the lightning ball hit the spot were Ren and the wolf were , followed by a loud bang sound .
Ren and the black wolf looked at the direction where they were standing and they were dumbfounded by what they saw , where there once was the soul pact formation symbol , there was now a large 5 meter wide , 3 meter deep crater .
Ren couldn't help being urged to learn magic , he made up his mind that at some point he was definitely going to learn magic , even if it wasn't as strong as this . The ball of lightning was a high tier spell without a doubt , just by looking at what it was capable of , the ball was made of lightning so it travelled at lightning speed , although it was a bit slower , but it definitely moved faster than the speed of sound , and it's destructive power is at least grenade level from Levi's memories . who wouldn't be tempted by such power . even the black wolfs eyes were sparkling , it was thinking wether to be happy or sad , happy because it could one day reach this level of power , sad because it meant the blue wolf was going all out .
While trying to dodge the attack, Ren and the wolf were separated , so they were now standing at a good distance from each other , in this distance they would get in each other's way and they could also come to help quickly If it was needed , Ren unsheathed his sword and condensed a set of combat qi armor on himself while the black wolf started to surge with black lightning , it wasn't as powerful as when the blue wolf did it but it was still impressive nonetheless , infact the blue wolf started to stare at the lightning charged black wolf with a worried expression , it was because that after evolving a magical beast would need to take some time to learn how to use magic , and even more time to master it . But the black wolf being able to use magic immediately after evolving meant that it had great potential for magic and that if it was allowed to grow , it would without a doubt surpass the blue wolf .
The blue wolf made up it's mind to kill the black wolf here and now , so it released it's lightning magic , wrapped it around it self and charged towards the black wolf , while the other twenty or so wolves that came with it charged at Ren , seeing this the black wolf and Ren also charged forward , the blue wolf instantly closed the gap between him and the black wolf and threw a lightning charged claw towards the black wolf , it seemed that by enveloping itself in lightning , it's speed would increase dramatically , and as such the black wolf was unable to dodge the attack and took it head on .
After being struck , the black wolf flew a few metres back and landed on the ground , it wasn't injured to badly , but it still did take a big hit , without even giving it a chance to recover , the blue wolf immediately charged towards the black wolf .
After a mere breath of time , Ren was in front of the wolves that were charging at him , they were all light blue in colour and looked stronger than the other wolves he fought till now except for the black wolf leader , Ren swung his sword towards the first wolf . The wolf was unable to dodge , the attack Ren just made was to fast for it to react , as such the attack landed and the wolfs head was chopped in half .Upon seeing this , the other wolves immediately understood that they could not underestimate this opponent , so they quickly tried surrounding Ren , but they were unable to , Ren was chopping away at them at an insane speed , they were numbered at twenty before the fight had started but now their were only thirteen left , looking at these numbers , the blue wolves knew they were not this humans opponent so they immediately withdrew and tried to escape .
" attacking me and then trying to escape , you're dreaming if you think I'd let you " shouted Ren ant the wolves in the wolves language . The blue wolves were dumbfounded upon hearing this , how could a human be able to speak in their language , this had never happened before so they were thoroughly surprised but they also increased their speed after they heard what Ren said .
Before they could even make a five meter gap between them Ren already caught up and started swinging his blade at them , with each swing he made , one wolf fell . He kept swinging untill all the wolves were dead . Immediately after killing all the wolves , Ren ran towards the black wolf to aid it , it had only been less than a minute since the fight started but the blue wolf definitely had the upper hand , so Ren ran as fast as he could .
Immediately Ren reached the fight between the blue and black wolf , the blue wolf was attacking nonstop while the black wolf was taking all this attacks head on , the blue wolf was too fast to dodge and the black wolf was already too injured to fight back , it was bleeding profusely .
seeing this Ren pounced towards the blue wolf , the blue wolf's instincts kicked in and it jumped to the side , successfully dodging the attack , Ren now stood in front of the black wolf while assuming a defensive stance , the blue wolf looked at this with a dissatisfied expression , it was obviously annoyed seeing a fellow wolf being protected by a human , it's pride as a wolf could not handle it so it charged at full speed towards Ren and struck it's claw out . Ren also slashed his sword towards the wolf , the sword and the blue wolf's claw collided with each other and sparks flew out , Ren and the wolf continued this struggle , Ren kept swinging his qi enveloped sword while the wolf kept attacking with its lightning enveloped claws , " stop it , just ran , I'm not worth it " said the black wolf via mind link , " shut up , I'm not leaving you " replied Ren via mind link . The wolf did not say anything more as it knew that Ren would never leave him and he was exhausted anyway .
The struggle continued until Rens sword broke and he was pushed back a few meters , now the blue wolf was right in front of the black wolf , " human , I have to admit you are quite strong , although I don't know what that blue aura is , it is still impressive to be able to last this long " said the blue wolf .
Then the blue wolf proceeded to attack the black wolf that was lying on the floor as it was not going to underestimate the black wolf , upon seeing this Ren screamed , he was angry that the Black wolf was about to die , after forming a soul pact , the wolf and Ren had gotten really close , so he couldn't bear seeing the wolf die , while screaming surges of black lightning came out of his body , while hi formed a sword from combat qi , the lightning enveloped the sword and Ren , the lightning and qi enveloped Ren charged forward , the blue wolf's claw was just a hairs length away from the black wolfs neck when suddenly it felt everything around it going dimmer and dimmer until he could no longer see anything .
The blue wolf's head was chopped off . After being enveloped in lightning and combat qi , Ren was able to move at an insane speed , he literally broke the sound barrier while running just now and managed to kill the blue wolf before it's attack landed . Ren was happy , because he was able to save his friend , but he was really tired and fell unconscious while smiling .
