Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Power of information

Akashi's words had the effect of a bomb in the room

The two looked at each other, and something cold passed between them.

"Have you ever heard that name Kushina before?" Tetsuma asked; he knew that it was nearly impossible.

Kushina arrived in secret at Konoha about a month ago, but everything about her remained a secret; Tetsuma himself only knew it because Mikado had told him once.

"No..." Akashi shook his head in denial

"I never heard it before until I saw it in that dream," he explained, without lying or embellishing anything

Looking at each other once more, the two elders found themselves in a different illusory space and had a whole silent conversation with each other

'Did he hear us when we were talking about it?'

'Do you think that we would have failed to notice a three four years old spying on us?'

'Then what is it, some kind of new Kekei genkai?'

'Maybe my family never had something that gave us a vision of the future,'

'Maybe it is the mangekyo he awaken the sharingan after all,'

'Maybe, one thing is for certain, we need to know what more he saw,'

"Akashi," Mikado said, "I need you to tell me about that dream of yours."

Akashi sat down, his mind running at full speed 'How much should I tell them?" he thought

'They are my family. If I can help them, I should; I do not have to fear the higher up with them with them protecting me, plus I am years away from the Uchiha massacre.'

Following Mikado, Tetsuma followed suit as Akashi started his tale. He told them what he knew of the anime, and he told them about the destruction of Uzushiogakure. He admitted that he didn't know much other than the fact that all the other great villages, including Konoha, might have had a hand in it.

He told them how the Senju would end up destroyed in the next war, and the experimentation to recreate the wood release with Tsunade, the only pure Senju remaining.

How Orochimaru, the third Hokage disciple, would defect

He told them about someone with a strange sharingan releasing the nine tails in Konoha, who led to the isolation of the Uchiha and their subsequent extermination.

At the end, the two elders had a somber expression

"I see," Tetsuma said, he had a frown on his face as he analysed what he heard of his grandson.

Akashi hadn't revealed everything that he knew of the show; he had only revealed the broad line. He had also said the names of people that he shouldn't have known at the same time, which served as proof of his words.

"Your grandfather and I need to talk," Mikado Uzumaki said, getting up.

As they walked out of his room, she turned around and looked at her grandson with a complicated gaze

"Take a day of today, gather your thoughts, put everything you remember of that dream in writing, no training today, your body has been subject to an enormous amount of stress."

Before he could complain, she added "If you want to become strong, knowing how to take care of your body is important."

As he looked at their backs, he wondered

'Did they know I didn't tell them everything!?'

'Maybe! Ninjas are masters of intelligence gathering after all,'

Akashi knew that even with his two lives combined and his knowledge of the original work, he couldn't compare to the two of them in terms of experience and scheming.

This is why he had shared some of what he knew with them while holding back other cards.

If what the one that send him here said was true, his grandparents were like him, it means that they are both heartless oportunistic asshole that prioritise their interests over everything else.

...

In another room

"He is hiding things from us," Tetsuma said. If he wasn't that shook by what he heard, he would be proud.

"Do you believe what he told us?" Mikado asked

"He told us things that he shouldn't know, things that even I didn't know, so I am inclined to believe him... He is my grandson after all,"

Even though he had been shaken by what he heard and that he didn't understand how or why Akashi had that information, he still believed in his grandson.

Mikado looked at the third elder of the Uchiha, who had a steady temperament and smile,

"You are steadier than I gave you credit for." With that, she turned around and left the room

"I have a letter to write,"

After Mikado left, Tetsuma's eyes turned crimson due to anger and shock.

Third Hokage and the elder council, I wonder how I should handle. It was true that he was rather cold, but he loves his clan, and the idea that it would be destroyed by another Uchiha made his blood boil.

But in the end, he calmed down; there are still years before it, and now that we know it, there is nothing to fear.

'I wonder how she would fare,' he thought, looking at the place where Mikado was moving

The old woman was much older than he was, and also much stronger than he was, while he was an elite jonin, near the level of a quasi kage, she was a legitimate kage-level kunoichi.

And it was not just her; Akashi's mother, Mirai Uzumaki, was stronger than his son, too, which was why Akashi had the name Uzumaki instead of Uchiha.

Well, there was also the fact that, due to the Uzumakis' status as Daimyo, they were technically superior to the Uchiha.

"If Uzushiogakure is destroyed, the name Uchiha will bring him a degree of protection until we decide what to do," Tetsuma thought as he moved.

....

On the other side of the estate

Mikado Uzumaki pushed the sliding door of her room open

once inside

clank

A glowing red chain appeared from her back; it was the adamantine sealing chain of the Uzumaki.

It reached the ground before slithering like a snake all around her before

woosh

From the chain, an inky black substance shot out and covered the room,

In an instant, the ink turned into seals that activated and sealed the room.

Once it was done, the eyes of the old woman turned cold.

Boom

An explosion shook the room as Mikado unleashed the massive chakra of of a full-fledged Uzumaki.

The reinforced ground of the room exploded around her while all the furniture and the wall cracked under the strain of that immense chakra.

"Ashina, you old fucker, what did we tell you, incapable, fucking piece of shit..."

After crashing out for almost one minute, the old woman regained control of her temper and chakra.

By the time she calmed down, everything around her was a wreck.

"Alright, it's not the time to lose my cool, what to do? Even if it isn't true, I need to take precautions."

With that, she brushed her red and white hair behind her before two small scrolls appeared in front of her.

With the speed of years of experience, she put her worries on paper.

A few minutes later, the sealed room opened, and Mikado walked out holding a scroll.

A whistling sound escaped her lips, and soon an eagle appeared in her hand.

"Hello there, Shu," she greeted before fastening the scroll on the bird's leg,

"I need you to deliver that scroll to the new head as quickly as possible. It concerns the survival of the entire clan,

With that, she sent the bird flying away.

...

A few minutes later, at the edge of Konoha

Whoosh

A shuriken shot out from a tree, targeting the eagle.

slash

Before it could even scream, the eagle was decapitated and fell down

Whoosh

Before it even reached the ground, a masked ninja jumped and, with incredible dexterity, took the scroll attached to it.

"I've got it," the masked ninja said, looking at his comrades standing beside him

"Send it to the Hokage," the head of the team said, "We need to continue monitoring the messages coming and going in the village."

Yes, that teamwere members of the Anbu under the Hokage, and their missions were to monitor any message coming and going in and out of Konoha.

Hiruzen had long learned that information was a powerful source of power.

...

Hokage Office

A young Hiruzen Sarutobi, flanked by his three advisors, could be seen reviewing a document.

The other great village had been under the war foot for a while; of course, Konoha knew what was coming.

Whoosh

With a body flicker, a ninja appeared kneeling beside the Hokage

"Master Hokage, a letter from Elder Uzumaki to Uzushiogakure,"

At the words of the ninja, the people who hadn't moved their eyes from the pile of documents looked over

"Thank you," Hiruzen said, taking it, before he opened the message. The ninja had already silently disappeared

After reading it, a frown appeared on his face

"What does that say?" Danzo Shimura asked

"It looks like Elder Mikado realized that Uzushiogakure might be the target of the other nation, before Konoha," he said, passing the message to Danzo

The people in the room had long been informed of the movement of the Other major villages.

They even facilitate it by leaking the pattern of the wirpool protection Uzushogakure through their own channels.

"She doesn't know of our involvement," Danzo said, passing the letter to the two others. "It says here that their connection said that their moves are strange."

"No, but she must suspect something; we need to remain vigilant."

"Maybe we should've let the letter pass; it would've caused a fiercer resistance."

"They will be in place in one or two days."

"Danzo, are our people ready? We need to bring a few Uzumaki children with their inheritance; it will calm the two elders," Hiruzen said, referring to Mito and Mikado Uzumaki

"Even though Mikado sama has brought a few Uzumaki with her to tend to her grandson there they aren't under our control; that woman is very powerful." he then turned to Danzo

"And make sure that the most important of the sealing techniques don't fall into the hands of the other village,"

After saying that, he let out a sigh

The reason they had decided to precipitate the destruction of Uzushiogakure was that they were too dangerous.

Not only were they incredibly fierce warriors at the level of the Senju and Uchiha, but their sealing jutsu was incredible, and Konoha also depended on them for those seals. This means that from the outside, they could influence the politics of the village, particularly in times of war.

The Uzumaki were not completely united; like in every clan, there were different factions, some had the idea to sell those seals not just to Konoha but to the other ninja villages as well.

If it had happened, it could have dealt a severe blow to Konoha, and it was not just that; if the other nation could obtain just one child of that clan, they could make a jinchiruki stable and ready for war against them.

For all those reason The higher up of Konoha decided that Uzushigakure should disappear.
