When Lynch saw Mr. Simon dressed like that, this word popped into his head. Just yesterday there was an uproar about the Nagariel Youth Party, whose slogan seemed to be about expelling foreigners.
In fact, thinking about it carefully, this slogan is very subtle; it's not just about simply expelling "foreigners."
The Pretton Trading Company, or rather the foreigners settled in Nagariel, have actually become a new, foreign ruling group within Nagariel's governing class.
By controlling trade rights and sea access, they have dominated Nagariel's import and export trade. At the same time, they have gained recognition from the ruling class. Having deepened the connection between power and wealth, they have become a new member of high society.
These people are no longer just simple foreigners; they actually represent a kind of privilege born out of wealth, or one could say, power.
Would expelling foreigners take back what they lost?
