Damon is sitting alone in his room, waiting for Adam.
The room is the same as he left it, with no pheromones or traces to indicate that an outsider has entered. His inner alpha is pleased at the thought that no one has entered his territory while he was away.
Although rationally, Damon knows this is merely the facility's protocol. They encourage patients to act more in line with their inner alphas or omegas, so of course, they also know which landmines to avoid.
Damon looks at the clock hanging on the wall. His secretary should've been here by now. Although he did not ask to be escorted from the isolation room to his living quarters, he still expects Adam to be on time. This is, after all, still work.
Another five minutes pass by before Damon hears the knock on the door.
"President, may I enter?" says his secretary through the door.
He gives his permission with a one-word response: "Enter."
Damon is preparing to scold his secretary, but pauses the moment he sees Adam.
