"Dad, Mother needs to rest now. I hope you don't tell them for the time being and don't come to the hospital to disturb her," Tessa Caldwell instructed.
Kenneth Caldwell nodded repeatedly, "Tessa, why didn't you tell me earlier?"
Tessa Caldwell smiled, yet coldly replied, "Do you still worry about my mom?"
Winnie Barnett smoothed things over for Dad Caldwell, "Alright, Tessa." Then she turned to Dad Caldwell, "It was me who didn't let her tell you. Don't blame her. If you have things to do, you should head back first."
"I'm fine," Dad Caldwell looked at Tessa again, "It's been hard on you during this time, I'll take care of your mom from now on."
"You?" Tessa Caldwell was skeptical, "I really don't want them to come here and make a fuss."
Dad Caldwell didn't reply, but from then on, he came to the hospital every day to take care of Winnie Barnett.
