"So what do you think? Pretty crazy right?" Beth asked after Lukas had observed the blades that had formed in his hands. "More like amazing! I've never felt better in my life! These weapons... I've never seen anything like them before! They're so cool!" Lukas yelled. "Lukas... I think you should-"Beth was saying before Lukas cut her off. "Oh right... nobody can know right? That's what we agreed on." Lukas stated as he remembered what Beth had told him. "I think it might be a bit late for that... as you'll see if you turn around." Beth replied. As Lukas turned around, he saw a ton of people watching him from above the wall that overlooked the training grounds. "Well come on then! You're here to train aren't you?" One of the observers shouted. "Yeah! Someone send in a hologram already!" Another demanded. All of a sudden, somebody started speaking through a microphone. "Well... this is certainly not what we were expecting... somebody new has entered to try their hand at training! New challenger... what is your name?" The voice over the microphone inquired. "Um... Lukas." Lukas answered as he wasn't quite sure what was happening.
"Well... Lukas... I trust that you already know the rules?" The voice asked. "Um... no actually... this is my first time." Lukas responded. "Oh you poor thing! Well everyone... it seems we have a newbie so don't expect too much he's just here for some practice. The rules are simple Lukas: We will create a hologram of a random enemy that can appear in any of the trillions of universes in the normal course but for the advanced course, we will send a hologram of some of the strongest threats that the Protectors have had to fight. Your goal is to defeat the hologram that appears and keep in mind that even though you can be physically harmed during these battles, the holograms will never kill you and you will be given free healing after the battles are over. Now please make your selection of the course you wish to challenge." The voice explained.
"Advanced it is then!" Lukas yelled confidently. "Oh? Are you sure? Keep in mind that most Protectors struggle against the Advanced fights!" The voice reminded Lukas. "I know that... and I want the Advanced Course." Lukas repeated. "Very well then! Send in the first hologram!" The voice commanded someone else. Suddenly, a strange green humanoid figure appeared a few feet away from Lukas... before it changed shape into what looked like Dream... but it was different. It had what seemed to be tears running down it's face and the look it had on it's face seemed... intimidating to say the least. "Well... there's no point in trying to be subtle now... go on Lukas... have some fun." Beth encouraged Lukas. "Um... alright... I'll try not to let you down." Lukas replied as he readied himself. "Now everyone... the first round of the Advanced Course features Error! A commonly known Destroyer who is known to corrupt everything he touches... will Lukas be able to topple this sinister foe? Let's find out! Let the match begin!" The voice yelled over the microphone as the hologram began moving incredibly quickly.
Lukas attempted to run at the hologram to get it in the range of his weapons... but it was moving so incredibly fast that he couldn't even see it half of the time. All of a sudden, the hologram stopped and raised it's hand... before two giant floating objects appeared on both sides of it... the objects appeared to look like dragon's skulls. The skulls made a noise that sounded like something charging up as a light appeared in their mouths. "What do I do about this?" Lukas asked himself. "Just do what you feel is right! The chances of it working are astronomically high!" Beth replied to encourage Lukas. "Do what I feel is right." Lukas thought to himself. Suddenly, Lukas got an idea... he pushed his weapons into each other and they seemed to just melt together before they became a shield. Lukas held the shield up in front of himself to hopefully block whatever was coming... and as soon as the skulls stopped making noises, they opened their mouths as the light within was fired outwards into Lukas... thankfully, the shield stopped the attack and Lukas was completely safe. The skulls started making another noise as if they were charging up again and Lukas continued to hold the shield up in the hopes that it would work again. "So what's your plan? Are you just going to stand here forever?" Beth questioned Lukas. "I'm figuring that part out as I go alright? It is my first time doing this remember?" Lukas responded as the skulls stopped making noises again. All of a sudden, Lukas' shield was ripped out of his hands by some strange blue cables... upon closer inspection, the cables seemed to be emerging from the hologram's fingertips. As a split second reaction, Lukas dove in between the lasers and to safety.
"I need to get my shield back!" Lukas thought to himself... before the shield disappeared from the hologram's cables and rematerialized back into Lukas' hands. "Oh... I guess that works." Lukas spoke out loud as he pulled the shield apart and it turned back into the blades. The skulls disappeared almost as quickly as they were summoned before the hologram raised it's other arm and a bunch of blue bones shot up from the ground around Lukas. "Don't move through the blue ones! You're fine as long as you don't move into them!" Beth explained as Lukas almost ran into the bones. Another skull appeared above the ring of bones and it looked down upon Lukas... a little fly caught in it's web. "Do what I feel is right." Lukas told himself again. "Wait a minute... can I do this?" Lukas asked himself as he looked at his hand and he saw some energy had gathered around it. "I'll take that as a yes!" Lukas yelled as he threw his weapon up to the skull and it got lodged into it... the energy that was gathered around Lukas' hand sent out a red chain that latched onto Lukas' weapon and pulled him up to it. As Lukas reached the skull, he jumped on top of it and summoned more chains to wrap around it... he then readjusted it's angle so it pointed at the hologram. The hologram stopped guiding the skull and tried to run away but Lukas summoned another chain to hold it in place... as the laser launched into the hologram and covered the surrounding area in a thick layer of smoke. All of the spectators gasped at the sudden amount of skill that Lukas was showing... how he had never been to the training grounds but how he was not only standing his ground but also somehow beating the enemy with skills that no normal person should possess.
Suddenly, the hologram jumped out of the smoke the skull that Lukas was stood on disappeared... the enemy seemed heavily damaged despite it only taking one attack. "This might be easier than I first thought. I thought that in the Advanced Course, the enemies would at least be a lot more durable than... well... this." Lukas thought to himself mostly just so that Beth could know how he's feeling. The hologram seemed to not show any emotion as it leaped high into the air and summoned three more skulls... but this time, it wrapped the cables around the skulls and it began to spin in circles as the lasers shot out from the skulls. Lukas raised his shield again as the lasers forced him backwards every time they completed a loop... although Lukas was unharmed, he was losing his footing as he wasn't used to being pushed back slightly and then the force almost instantly disappearing as the cycle repeated over and over again. Eventually, the hologram stopped and the skulls disappeared... only for a gigantic one to appear directly above it... Lukas could already tell that he wouldn't be able to block this attack nor would he be able to dodge it. "What should I do? What can I do?" Lukas asked himself. "Anything is possible Lukas! Just think of the solution and it'll become real! Don't give up now... give them a show to remember!" Beth yelled as she seemed to be thoroughly enjoying this. "Just think... easy for you to say!" Lukas replied. "Fine then... I'll be more specific... can you think of anyway to turn their attacks against them?" Beth retorted back. "I... don't know... can I?" Lukas asked himself as he was struggling to come up with a solution to this problem.
By now, the laser had almost fully charged and Lukas was just stood still as he tried to think of a solution... before finally the skull fired it's attack. "Wait... I've got it!" Lukas yelled at the last second as he pointed his arm towards the hologram with his palm open and closed his eyes to focus. "I really hope this idea that you've got works... then again... it won't kill you." Beth explained. Just as the laser reached Lukas, a light appeared in front of him and a portal opened up and swallowed the attack... Lukas then smiled as he pointed directly above the hologram's location. "It was fun whilst it lasted... goodbye." Lukas spoke as a portal opened where he pointed and the laser shot out of it and onto the enemy. Once the attack was finished, the hologram appeared motionless... before it shattered as if it was made of glass and someone threw a rock at it... the fragments fell to the floor before they seemed to disintegrate slowly. The crowd was silent... before it all of a sudden erupted into a cluster of cheers and people yelling their praises at Lukas as he just stared at what he had managed to do. "So how do you feel Lukas?" Beth asked. Lukas didn't respond though... instead he held his head as if he was in pain. "I feel dizzy... and my head hurts." Lukas said a she fell to his knees. "Yeah... that is a side effect of using the eye's power if you aren't used to it... it could be worse though! You could just have your head hurt or you could've felt a variety of other things such as hallucinations, throwing up or..." Beth was explaining before she stopped as Lukas just collapsed onto the floor. "Unconsciousness... yeah I probably should've said that one first." Beth admitted as she held a hand to her face.
"Fear
Legend has it that one day, a girl who has a close relation to the colour pink will arrive in The Multiverse from a destroyed Universe. She will control the minds of others by showing them their worst fears and giving them flesh. Of our Saviour's struggles, she will be the first. All of her victims will be found fresh. None who meet her will survive her wrath. Except our Saviour who shall slay the beast within. Born of a human who chose the wrong path. Peace will return to us as it always should have been. Untameable Hate reversed her trait. Her Brave soul turned Fearful. Against the virus, your odds aren't great. Even Determination will be weakened before turning Dull."
"Destroy the virus and free her, great one. Without her, your task cannot be done."
