Chapter 31 - Chapter 31 A Quite Decision

I let out a deep breath as I stood my ground in the villa's grand hall, glaring at Hugo with everything I had. My heart pounded painfully against my chest, a mix of frustration, humiliation, and fear swirling inside me. The tension between us was suffocating, yet I couldn't back down. Not now. Not after everything.

"I said I won't share a room with you, Hugo." My voice was firmer this time, even though my fingers trembled slightly. "You've always hated when I stepped into your space. I still remember—no, I will never forget—how you made it clear that I was never allowed near you. Near your world."

Hugo's jaw tightened. His golden eyes narrowed, but he didn't speak. His silence was louder than any words, suffocating me as much as his scent of lime that clung to this villa.

"You love Nia," I added, my throat tightening as I said her name. "You always made sure I knew that. So, why now? Why pretend I belong in a space that was never meant for me?"
