Tiana looked over and saw the faint smile at the corner of her father's lips; he seemed to be in a pretty good mood.
If only his mood could stay that good.
She called to him first: "Dad."
Sean turned his head, and when he saw her, that gentle, loving smile appeared on his face again.
That smile was like all those countless times she'd fallen into darkness, and her dad had descended like a god, reaching out his hand to pull her up from the abyss, telling her not to be afraid, that he would take care of everything.
Tiana felt a pang inside and slowly walked over to him.
Sean said, "Let's go downstairs and eat."
"Mm."
As they went down the stairs, her dad supported her and said, "Tiana, from now on Dad won't be so busy anymore. There are people in the company who can handle things. I'll be home most of the time and try to make more time to be with the family."
Tiana nodded softly. "Mm, you've always been busy and running around. You should take a break."
