"Are you a Formation Mage?" Hale had to ask.
"Yes I am, but I'm not registered as a Formation Mage. Since status only takes you so far, only your actions can prove what's true or false and what's right or wrong. Hale you must remember there are many amazing wonders in this world. When you grow up, you will learn more and more." Martha looked at him and gave him some advice for the future.
They arrived at a room with many shelves and cupboards. The cupboards were also black and the shelves expanded across the room. The room looked more like a hall. On each shelf sat books and many other objects.
"Hale, go forward and choose two objects from any of the shelves. I will tell you what it is or if you strong enough to use such an artefact." Martha brought him towards the shelves and lifted him up so he could get a better view.
Hale saw a silver pen. It had inscriptions and magical formations across the entire pen. The inscriptions and formations were violet in color showing how powerful such a small and dainty object could be. He lifted the pen.
"What is this pen?" Hale asked. He was very interested in this object.
"That's a pen that you can use to write on paper or you could write in the air, underwater or anywhere you seek to write something." Martha explained.
"Does it only know how to write?" Hale asked.
"Of course not. This pen can transform to a magnificent silver sword and aid you in any battle. Not only can this pen transform, but whatever you draw can come to life." Martha held him, hugging him tightly so he doesn't fall, since his hands is holding the heavy pen. She spoke to him about the wonders of a simple magic pen.
"That's amazing. So damn cool. I want this. Can I have it?" He looked at her with expectation. He was so happy to see such a cool pen. This pen will help me to win all my fights with Dia, and make her cry. Hale was thinking about how cool it would be if he had this cool toy.
Martha laughed at him. She was very lively.
"Oh my, you want to harm your sister with a pen. Although this pen is 'amazing', you cannot use it, unless you become a powerful Mage. It will only serve you to write some good stories and only on paper. Since you no Mage and cannot harness any Mana, this pen will just be regular writing tool for you."
Martha looked at him with sympathy. "Poor child was so excited and now he looked like I broke his heart." She laughed at his saddened look. She patted his head gently and rubbed his hairs, to make him cheerful once again.
"I need Mana again, why is this so unfair?" He placed the pen down. He was already cursing some unknown God's for his bad luck towards the Mana. He became even more envious of Dia.
Martha brought him towards the book section. She held a black book and told him to hold it.
"I think this will be really useful to you. It may solve all your problems." Martha said to him very joyfully as she was imagining how powerful he with grow up with this book.
"This is a cultivation technique. It's called the Dragon Flowing Technique. I have also learned this technique, it is really useful to Qi-users." Martha explained.
"Wait, you can use Qi and Mana?" Hale was really confused.
"Haha, my good boy. Good analysis and hearing. Yes, Dragons are very formidable beings. It's one of the reasons why all the other races decided to exterminate us. We Dragons can control both Qi and Mana since our bodies are extremely strong." She said this while patting his head, but a hint of sorrow tainted her face. She became joyful once again, when she looked at Hale.
Hale accepted the book with open arms. He thanked her dearly for a cultivation technique, thinking that the only way to get one was to rob the Royal Palace of this kingdom.
"One more object, I must choose wisely. Something that should help me and must be useful to my growth." While Hale was thinking about which object to choose, Martha looked towards the valley and her sight pieced through the walls and landed on Dia.
