Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The non-existing sub-boss

The denizens of the 6th floor were consisted of undead, some weird looking mugger and some kind of giant ugly ass fly called Beelzebub Fly.

*Bang!Bang!Bang!*

Still, i am smoothly traversing the 6th floor since i recently got accustomed of the feeling of grappling like spider man, and double jumping around using the belt thrusters.

[A sword! Lucky!] opening a treasure chest got me a steel sword, it still had some good durability and design on it. I then store it.

The frequency of treasures found at the 6th floor was greater compared to the lower floors. It probably has an increase of 30% or so. The monsters also noticeably got stronger.

The skeletons were alert as they would detect the slight vibrations from the floor with the surface of their bones, upon death they would explode in a cluster of bones which needs caution, but i already found a solution for this. Just throw its body at the distance then shoot it with my smart pistol.

*Bang!*

The skeleton would drop ice attribute icy blue colored monster core, which should sell at a hefty price. They also occasionally drop some corpse dust that you can use to grab agro from nearby skeletons, only skeletons are being targeted with this.

The other monster was the Beelzebub fly, it was a scary looking monster fly that splits upon being damaged by bladed weapons, of course i was the one to confirmed this using a sword i found back at the lower floors. No matter how you cut it, it would reproduce its identical self upon hit. They easily die from fire magic tho~. Their drops is a null attribute clear monster core. They also drop a vial of stinky liquid that repels monsters upon removal of the cork.

Next is a monster called Floor Guardian, strange, it does not protect the entirety of the 6th floor but instead it protects a specific treasure, like the two in front of me. They are guarding a good looking chest which should contain something good inside. Blunt damage is best dealt at this guys from the fact that they resemble earth golems. So i blasted the two using frag grenades.

*Boom!*

*Boom!*

What's left are their stony remains. Yep, they really do not drop something other than their stony remains. Quickly opening the chest, what greeted me were a pair of black boots, upon appraisal this was what it showed...

Black boots of Speed increase

I need not to delve further since the name itself was easy to understand as to how and what the effect will be upon wearing this boot to me. Quickly equipping it...yeah...it felt quite comfortable, i also feel that my agility increased after wearing the boots.

[This sure is a lucky find..] happily skip hopping throughout the 6th floors while slaying monsters, i made my way to the 7th floor and continued the onslaught until i arrived at the 9th floor. I leveled up nicely as well

Kuha...kuhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! This is amazing! In no time, i am already at almost level 100! I am now near to being a level 100 player.....no this is actually still real life, so it is probably being a level 100 individual.

[Should i rest for now?] my back kinda aches a bit after having fun, i also had not noticed that the time was already 1:00 am...i...my habit once again has risen up..*sigh~*

Opening inventory, i took out some cloth sheets and folded it until it became thick enough to be considered a cheap mattress. Lying on it, i then sleep and close my eyes for some late rest.

It was cold...yeah i forgot. The 6-10th floors were consisted of ruin type biome. Basically an actual dungeon you can find on MMORPGs, the typical cold brick walled, floored and ceilinged places. There are also many inextinguishable blue flames torches on the hallways. I am currently at the 10th floor and was facing the door to the 2nd sub-boss.

Should i enter and challenge it? Or should i go back and take a rest? If i would follow my first idea, it may take me long since i still need to find the weakness, but that should also be what will happen to my second idea....so the real choice here was the first one.

[Waaaa— to think dungeoneering was this tiring too....] i opened the door, only to find one vacant room.

[Huh? Where is the sub-boss?] no matter how i look at it, it was completely vacant, that also goes with my map ad there were no red nor any of the dots except myself.

So a glitch? Is that supposed to happen inside a dungeon? Aren't they naturally erected buildings, should there be a manager? Maybe there should be, at least that's for another time. I then searched for the staircase and found it as soon as i look for it. The air seems to be chilly as it passes through the stairs and to me.

*Gulp* a premonition suddenly occurred to me, what if the monsters at the 11-15th are.....the ghost type monsters? How should i deal with it? I have only my fire magic as my backup for other enemies.....having only this sucks. I hope that ghosts are vulnerable to flame. But i saw that movie before that ghosts typically are vulnerable to fire.

[Ah, thinking deeply would give me nothing, okay! Let us proceed further!]

Climbing the stairs, i already felt the change of biome as the ruin had changed into a cave type biome. It was ragged, cold and somehow...a bit wet. The air also feels cold, peculiarly cold as the temperature had drastically dropped. No....that's not it, the real reason as to why it was cold, it was due to the increase in altitude. Currently according to my map, i am 7,000 ft high, approximately 2.1336 kilometers high. A very strange outcome from the fact that it is still the 11th floor, and as from what i felt through climbing till here, it feels like twice the said altitude.

Safely i arrived at the 11th floor's entrance, and yeah, it really is a cave. The illumination inside this cave type biome is caused by small luminous mushrooms called Glow Shrooms. It had a comparable luminosity to that of an electric lamp, the small one i mean.

In my map are scattered red dots, it seems like the monsters here prefer being in solitude, thus explosives are an ok here. I then took out PD-1 and had it hover in my back at an altitude of 3 meters.

The cave was spacious as the height of ceiling reached a whopping 200 meters in height, the place is also wide but the thing is...the place is not a single room type but of a multiple room, i mean cave system. This is hard, so probably using the pulse blade and the map may help me in exploring this unknown floor.

Throwing a pulse blade over a distance....yep....the enemy is still far to be detected by it. On my map it was called giant cave spider, and of the rare species of albino. White colored spiders, i see, this should be interesting as i never saw one before nor i saw one on the internet.

[Okay-Tick go!] deploying a remotely controlled tick, i had it scout the rocky cave system and guided it through the shared screen it displayed on my visor. I equipped the IMC pilot battle suit again for this matter since this suit can provide me with great mobility and flexible movement, coupled with the black boots of speed increase's effect. I am on a full parkour suit in short.

The tick had the capability to climb uneven surfaces and climb walls and ceiling just as to what it was doing right now. The tick climbed the wall and scouted there at that height, even I cannot do that. I can only run on the wall for a few seconds while activating the belt thrusters to push me to the wall as i ran on it. Hence the tick is super awesome!

As i guide it, i am also moving at the floor while being guarded by my trusty PD-1 who was hovering before me. It is currently scanning the area for potential enemies.

While throwing the pulse blades at random directions, i found some empty rooms and some nasty traps like blast and teleporting traps. Nonetheless, it is peaceful here at the 11th floor...

...until i climb to the next floor.
