Keep calm. I took a heavy breath, but it won't effect on me this time. My chest is hurting, my heart is aching, my insides are crying. All I did was to love him. But why must it have to end like this? I can give him anything he wants, but why must he hurt me so much?
"W-why?" I asked, trying to control my voice not to shake. I don't want to be weak in his eyes, even just for this time.
He looked sideways. "I told you, all I just want is powers, not you."
My sight is getting blurry but I held this tears back. I can't cry, at least not in front of him. "Don't you love me? For all this time that we are together, did you not fall for me?"
"I don't do love. I'm a greed man who wants nothing but power," he answered dryly. He turned his back from me and started walking away.
"Where are you going?" I asked, getting alarmed. No! I don't want him to leave me!
He did not answer and just continued walking.
"Ivan!" I started chasing him but how I try to run fast, he's just getting farther and farther. "No! Ivan! NO!"
