Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Peerless Grace in a Worthless Body (Part 2)

No! Still no one!

Mu Ge confirmed once again that she could see, besides herself, no one else.

"Little one, don't just focus on the ground." That voice suddenly gave a hint.

Not on the ground, could it be in the sky?

Mu Ge instinctively looked up at the sky, but still found nothing.

Feeling as if she had been teased, a trace of anger flashed in Mu Ge's clear eyes, she withdrew her gaze from the sky, snorted coldly, "Playing tricks."

"Hehe..." The ethereal voice seemed ubiquitous, echoing all around.

Mu Ge cautiously guarded, the purple electric spark in her palm intensified.

Suddenly, Mu Ge felt a strange sensation in her legs standing in the water. The flowing stream began to flow backward, and as it passed by her calves, it brought a tingling sensation.

Mu Ge was startled; this unnatural phenomenon made her quickly retreat to the edge of the stream, eyes wide staring at the backward flowing water.

This stream was no wider than half a yard, no deeper than two feet.

Yet now it was eerily flowing backward, concentrating towards the center of the stream.

Whoosh—!

Suddenly, the water shot straight into the sky, forming countless columns, intertwining and merging in the air like water snakes.

Mu Ge was astounded, eyes wide open, lips slightly parted, body seemingly frozen, watching the scene before her.

She had seen water ability users, but they were mostly for healing purposes, even if they had offensive capabilities, it was merely a few water arrows or defensive water shields.

The scene before her made her think of super strong water ability users, yet a voice in her heart told her that the truth might not be that simple.

Soon, those stream waters endowed with life were completely drawn away, the gentle flowing water before Mu Ge turned into a dry land.

The water was absorbed into the air, gradually revealing a chair.

A chair made of water?

Mu Ge could seemingly see the flow of the stream water in the chair, crystalline and flawless, exquisitely so. An unseen pressure emanated from the chair, falling on Mu Ge, causing her bones to creak.

Yet, she inexplicably felt the pressure was already restrained.

Master!

Mu Ge's pupils shrank slightly, silently musing.

When the last drop of water merged into the chair, an array of beasts roared, shaking all things. The chair glowed silver, becoming the sole light source in the area.

Mu Ge was shaken, taking a step back, gazing incredulously at the chair in the sky.

With a dragon head as the backrest, unknown ferocious exotic beasts as the arms. On the seat, countless beasts prostrated, devoutly humble.

"Impressive!"

Mu Ge murmured to herself, her clear eyes ablaze with fervent fire.

'Perhaps, rebirth in this mysterious otherworld is not a dull matter after all.' For the first time after rebirth, Mu Ge found a goal to strive for.

'I want to become strong! One day, I too shall form such a chair!'

Suddenly, strong wind swept around, all heading towards the chair. Mu Ge raised a hand to shield her eyes from sand, forcing her to squint as she continued looking at the chair.

Her heart beat suddenly accelerated.

The wind stopped abruptly.

Mu Ge's eyes widened. What did she see? The wind! Invisible, untouchable wind now appeared before her, clearly visible.

Above the chair, a pale cyan vortex continuously rotated, mixing in the drifting fluffs and fallen blooms around.

An exotic fragrance seemed to become more intense, yet not repulsive, only pleasantly infiltrating one's heart.

Mu Ge had no time for shock; the whirlwind suddenly dissipated.

As the whirlwind dispersed, another world-class figure appeared on the chair.

White clothes like snow, spotless. Purple hems and cuffs, embroidered with intricate and noble mysterious patterns in gold thread. Black hair dancing without wind, blending into the night sky.

His tall and upright frame, even casually seated, made one feel his towering presence.

He appeared before Mu Ge, as radiant as a dazzling star, captivatingly brilliant. All light sources, it seemed, emanated from him. Like a diamond, transparent without a hint of impurity.

Sharp brows angled toward temples, phoenix eyes slightly raised, under a high nose, firm lips slightly smiling, lips alluringly crimson.

'The man on the moor like jade, unmatched gentleman in the world.'

Unbidden, a verse known from her past life entered Mu Ge's mind, causing her to nod in agreement uncontrollably.

The man before her rendered language inadequate for description. Moments before, she was self-satisfied with Mu Qingge's appearance, yet now was utterly overshadowed before this man.

Is Mu Qingge ugly?

Not at all!

Though Mu Qingge is young, it's already easy to discern the future stunning beauty from her youthful features. But that is after all a matter of a few years, incomparable to the current visual impact.

Mu Ge felt she wasn't one to judge by appearance, yet seeing the man's looks, she couldn't help but begrudgingly sigh: without comparison, there's no harm.

"Little one, now, can you see me?" The man's lips lightly parted, the smile at the corners of his mouth increased rather than diminished. He didn't find it peculiar, yet startled the two guarding in secret.

When had their master ever been so interested in a lower realm little one? Let alone this lower realm, even above, no one could catch their master's eye.

The two exchanged glances secretly, conveying a unanimous message.

'The air in the lower realm isn't good, making master ill.'

'Hmm, quite ill.'

"An Illusionary Artifact not meant to exist in Linchuan, a wasted body yet possessing Thunder Spirit Root. Little one, you are truly intriguing!"

Mu Ge was startled, her clear eyes showed intense and icy killing intent. This man actually stripped her clean with just a few words?!

"To have so much killing intent. Hehe, little one, truly looking forward to what surprises you can bring me." The tangible killing aura made the two secretly slanderous vigilant, yet the involved party seemed discovering a fun toy.

In a blink, the killing intent around Mu Ge vanished, she lightly glanced at him, turned away leaving behind a sentence: "Got something, say. Nothing, scram!"
