KNOX'S P.O.V
A menacing growl caught our attention. I glanced at Zes, who was looking in the direction of the growl. We both nodded at each other and started walking cautiously in the direction of the growl. I felt a weird tug in my heart. I saw a bird, a raven, come and sit on Zes's shoulder. Zes glanced at it and smiled.
We were in the woods. I looked around to find who the owner of the growl was, but we found none. We were lost; there was no trace of rogues. Suddenly, Zes tugged my shirt, catching my attention. She pointed towards the raven, which was flying back and forth towards the woods. It was like it was asking us to follow it.
Since we had no other traces, we decided to follow the raven. As we were walking, we came across trails of blood. I looked around for the threat. Zes' sudden loud gasp caught my attention. I followed her gaze, and my blood ran cold.
"Shit," I cursed, rushing towards the unconscious wolf.
The wolf was covered in a pool of blood. The wolf looked so familiar. It looked like James'. I prayed to the moon goddess that it wasn't James.
'James,' I mind linked him.
I waited for a reply, but I got none. It's James, Ryder said. Oh, no no no no no-no-no.
"It's James," I told Zes, who looked horrified.
I hadn't even noticed my voice crack.
ZES'S P.O.V
Knox looks so devasted. Without thinking much, he picked up James's wolf and ran towards his car. I looked out for humans; they can be overdramatic if they see us.
The raven that I see every day was with me. It's a known fact that ravens and wolves get along; they have a symbiotic relationship. Ravens and Wolves are always seen together. After a successful hunt, the wolves feed while the ravens keep watch for threats. To show gratitude, the wolves leave behind scraps of food for the ravens. Also, they travel together and play together all the time. The ravens were hunted down by the rogues. I am not sure why, but the legend says that ravens are supposed to serve the queen of the werewolves.
After confirming there were no humans around, I walked into the driver's seat and sped off to his pack. I glanced at Knox who was still carrying James' wolf, and I noticed he was shaking. I wanted to console him, but we didn't have time for that. If we don't take James to the pack hospital soon, he may die.

I was pacing here and there. I took a glance at Knox, who was sitting with his head hung low and his hands still shaking. It's been two hours since James was stuck in the emergency room. I honestly don't know what to tell Knox. I can't give false hopes to Knox, saying James will survive. James' condition is too critical. I'm sure Knox knows that too.
Beside him sat the heartbroken couple, Mr. and Mrs. Colton (James's parents). Mr. Colton was embracing a sobbing Mrs. Colton, but he himself looked dead inside. His eyes had no light in them as he rubbed his wife's back, trying to calm her down. I settle down next to Knox. I drew soothing circles on his thigh and saw and felt him slightly relax. But he immediately tensed when the doctor came out of the emergency room. He rushed to the doctor.
"James has lost too much blood. We managed to save him, but he has slipped into a coma. We can only hope for the best," the doctor left, patting Knox's shoulder.
Knox went back to where he was sitting. I saw Lily and Samuel making their way towards us. Lily went directly to embrace Mrs. Colton, while Samuel went to Mr.Colton. I kneeled down in front of Knox so I could see his face.
"Knox, let's get you home. You need sleep," I say softly.
"No," He said.
"Knox..-" I started.
"No," He snapped.
"Knox.." I started to snap, but stopped myself when he looked up.
Unshed tears were brimming in his eyes. I let out a gasp and pulled him into a hug.
"He will be alright," I reassured him.
UNKNOWN'S P.O.V
This isn't good. These two aren't supposed to become this close. Rogue Alpha won't be pleased. I smirked to myself, thinking how quickly they will fall apart. I don't like Zes and Knox being together. Knox is only with her for her power, not because he loves her. Why can't she see that? I ran my hand through my hair, making a few strands fall on my face.
The weirdest thing that happened today. I was taking shots after shots of mojitos. I was so bored with being at this party. Why did I even come here?
Then I saw her, a beautiful girl with jet shoulder length jet black hair had some red strands. I instantly felt attracted to her. I wanted her. The boredom I felt vanished as my mind made it a priority to get this girl. Nothing else mattered to me anymore.
The way her black dress hugged her curves showed too much skin, not that I mind, but the other filthy men were flirting with her.
The way the men looked at her made me want to stab them to death. They were eye raping my girl. Wait, what?! I just met her! I don't even know her name! And I am calling her my girl?! I'm such an idiot.
Now I have two girls to watch over. Well, watching over Zes is easy, but for this beautiful girl, it's difficult. When I was watching her at the party itself, she kept glancing in my direction. Her scarlet red eyes were so beautiful that one could get lost in them. I fell victim to her striking eyes and found myself lost in them. It wasn't the scary kind of lost. It was the comfortable kind where you know that you are safe.
She held no emotion in her gorgeous face. The way she sends glares to everyone would have buried them 10 feet underground, but that didn't stop the stupid humans from approaching her.
I was supposed to watch Zes, but this gorgeous woman is blinding my senses. I took a moment studying her. She looks uncomfortable here. Why is she there at this party then? She looked like she wanted no part in this, and she had been forced to attend the party. I found my lips turning upwards involuntarily when she laughed. I was brought back from my fantasies to the real, stupid world when I felt someone's hand on my chest.
I looked at the intruder to find some slut. If she had come before I saw this gorgeous woman, I would have been interested in the one night stand, but now other women look like nothing but dirt compared to her beauty. I threw the slut a disgusted look and shoved her away before I made my way out.
Never in my lifetime have I felt attracted to a woman. I have traveled around and been with many women. It's just been a minute, but I already miss seeing her. Her black hair nicely tucked, her gorgeous face not caked with makeup, her almond-shaped scarlet red eyes....damn. A smile displayed on my face, thinking about her.
My whole happy demeanor changed when a shrill scream reached my ears. I ran inside quickly, hoping that no one was hurt. Especially her. I prayed to all the gods I knew, hoping she was safe.

ZES P.O.V
It's been one month since the incident. Nothing feels normal now. My dad has lost his calm demeanor and has started drinking a lot. I have been apologizing to people who have experienced his wrath and doing the Alpha duties for months now. Even Knox helps. Knox goes to James's room in the hospital every day and talks to him. We have been doing so many things by which James could wake up, but no progress as of yet. Only his wounds are healing slowly.
I have been thinking about becoming an Alpha. My dad looks devasted. A Luna is the mother of the pack, the Queen of the pack. An Alpha ruling without a Luna is difficult not only for the Alpha but the entire pack. But me being the Alpha will be hard. I am the Queen of the werewolves, Future Luna of Blood Moon Pack, and the future Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack.
I was brought out of my thinking trance by someone snapping their fingers. I glared at Raven, who smiled sheepishly. We were walking towards the cafeteria.
"Zes!" Someone yelled across the corridor.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw Raven facepalm herself while I internally groaned. Everyone's eyes were on us.
We both were tackled into a hug by a figure. I returned the gesture while Raven wanted to get out of the hold.
"Hi, Sal," I greeted him, ruffling his fading pink hair.
I pranked him last Thursday along with Mae and Charlotte. We put pink dye in his shampoo. Raven was there, but she had no part in it. She didn't want to do it.
He glared at me. I smiled sheepishly at him. Sal is a new kid at this school. He is an adorable kid. Even though Raven hates him (I don't know why), she agrees that he is adorable. He was good-looking, he had a sharp jawline, broad shoulders, and he was tall. He is one inch taller than me. I am 165cm, so he is 167.5 cm.
I felt a pair of arms around my waist. I let go of the squeak and elbowed the stranger. I got a grunt and a low growl as a reply. I took a moment and calmed down, and felt the sparks. I let out a sigh of relief. I turned my head to be greeted by an angry Knox, his eye color changing. I greeted him with a smile and saw his eyes soften, but his eye color changed. Ryder is in control, shittttt. I felt him pull me towards the cafeteria. He sat at our usual table with Char and Reece. We settled down. I threw a questioning glance at Char and Reece, who looked shocked.
He pulled me into a bone-crushing hug and inhaled my scent, trying to calm himself down. After a few minutes, he muttered a sorry, still hugging me.
"It's ok," I hugged him back.
He hummed.
"What got you this angry?" I asked him.
He let out a low growl and pulled away. I frowned at the loss of warmth. I looked at him expectantly.
"Your brother happened," He muttered, clenching his fist.
I cursed under my breath and suggested we could go to the gym. He declined at first saying he can't let me out of his sight, then I told him I will also come with him. We both sneaked out of the school and headed to the gym.
In the gym, Knox was punching the punching bag, taking all his anger out. I sat nearby watching my boyfriend punching the bag SHIRTLESS. What? I am a girl, people.
Look at mate's abs, Zene purred. I pretended to ignore her. He looks so delicious, Zene hissed. I blocked her out, knowing her words would only get dirtier.
After a while, Knox walked towards me. He tried to pull me into a hug, but I ducked and scrunched my nose.
"You are sweaty," I scrunched my nose.
He chuckled and tackled me into a hug. I tried pulling away, hitting him, and punching him, but he just laughed. I knew I was not gonna win, so I gave in. After he pulled away, I muttered a string of curses which earned me a smack on my butt. I squeaked at his sudden actions, earning attention from strangers. I glared at Knox, who just shrugged, a smile tugging on his lips.

We reached home. The journey back home was frustrating. It was filled with Knox teasing me, me getting angry, and him enjoying my flustered state. I opened the door to find Reece and Mae standing with a stern look and arms folded. Behind them was Charlotte eating. I bit my lip to keep myself from laughing. I turned to look at Knox with an amused look.
"WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU GUYS?" Mae and Reece yelled simultaneously.
I and Knox exchanged a look and burst out laughing. We both looked up to see them look unamused. We both cleared our throats.
"You guys were gone for hours. How can you both be so irresponsible?" Mae asked.
"We were not irresponsible! We went to the gym and returned," Knox shrugged.
Mae muttered something under her breath and left. On the other hand, Reece stood there shaking his head and left. I happily waved Char and hopped to the office, earning chuckles from both of them.
I grabbed a random romance novel and started reading. I noticed Knox coming in, picking me up, and taking me to my room, but I didn't take my head from the book. I sat on my bed and Knox was lying on my lap. My hand unconsciously ran through his hair.
"Why are you addicted to romance novels?" He asked me with a yawn.
"I don't know," I smiled at his sleeping state.
