I ignored the notification; I knew upon arriving in the Gumdrop Child factory (made from real children) that my lucid dreaming had begun. Painless for children who wanted to be gumdrops, otherwise for those whose nightmares dragged them here.
I didn't have time to be turned into a gumdrop; I snuck out by grabbing a clip board and pretending to be part of the staff. <1>
Somehow, it bordered on Peppermint Woods. I know that doesn't make sense to you. Imagine a place of pain and sorrow emotionally right next to one of your happiest memories.
Well, true, such things do happen in real life; it's just... different in the Dreamtime. Dreamscape, Dreaming World, whatever you want to call it.
There was a crack of thunder, and a Sugar Blizzard obscured my vision.
I sighed, but even in my dreams, my promises were binding. I struggled through to the bank of the Saccharine River, which I followed downstream to Gumdrop Falls, where the storm subsided to a light snow-like effect.
