Sam we are known as the lava family as you might have known. there are rumours that one of our ancestors married a beast that lives in lava it got to a level that it could take human form and married into the family. my father is a direct descendant of such bloodline so our part of the family are not seen as been pure. the only thing that has attracted people to me is my beauty and talent as parents want me to be a future wife of their son even within the family where we have been neglected. I had an experience while I was young. i followed my father on one of his trip I was just ten at the time and we came across two beast in a deadly fight. the first was a big bird at my age I couldn't recognise the type of bird it was while the other beast was a spider. it was obvious the bird was stronger it trashed the spider and the spider was in constant retreat. I felt sad, we all thought the spider will die I watched with sad eyes as the spider bled. I asked my father to interfere but he refused and said it was the order of things. one has to doe for the other to survive. I watched on as the spider lost a leg, it kept retreating but what the bird didn't know was that the spider was leading it yo it's death. it made sure the distance between them was not much. the foolish bird kept up the pressure, it thought it had gotten the spider. I started to notice the spider was in a silk like place at the end of it retreat. walking on the silk was like walking on the ground for it so I thought nothing of it until the bird also stepped on the same silk I noticed one of the silk get attached to the birds leg. At this time the bird has not felt the danger it was in, it kept going in deeper after the spider nest were it wings and tail feathers before long the bird noticed it could not move freely and decided to escape but it was already too late. it started struggling the more it did the more entangled it got until completely restrained. to my surprise I saw the spider which was in constant retreat return and started feasting on the bird. This incident changed my perspective on what is weak and strong.
Sam was in deep thought so the spider had contingency plans in place in case it fan into problems. it was intelligent enough to set trap which only it could navigate. Hearing this story fortified Sam's believe that strategy is as good as strength in battle. Vera so why did you decide to help me when you could have been targeted by others for that. I did because I had this feeling you were different from what people saw and you looked at me differently. when you looked at me I saw in your eyes you saw your fellow human not someone that can be exploited for her potential or with lost for my beauty. what made me really help you was your intelligence you were practically the weakest but you always found way yo fulfil some duties even ahead of some who are stronger than you. when I noticed you were bullied I decided to help as much as I can go reduce the pressure on you.
