Still, I leaned on the hospital corridor's cold wall when the emergency room doors finally opened. Instantaneously, I lifted my head; a strange feeling ran through my chest. The doctor came out; his mask was hanging loosely beneath his chin, his eyes looked tired but he seemed calm and in control.
Within a moment, the crowds were arming to see him. Uncle Kyle and Auntie Mae were the first to arrive with looks of desperation on their faces.
"Please tell me my daughter is okay," Auntie Mae begged; her voice broke and tears were already rolling down her cheeks.
Xavier behind them shoved off from the wall, Zac got out of his chair with bloodshot eyes, and Luna, Erlyn, Phoebe, and Sydnee, stood together, all of their eyes on the doctor. We were holding our breaths at one time, the atmosphere was heavy.
