Chapter 15 - Episode 6: Love, Lies, and Lunchboxes

The Monday after the fanmeet, Jisoo swore she'd stay out of anything even remotely related to her brother. No fan events, no photos, no scandal, no chaos.

Just peace.Quiet.Normal, boring student life.

At least, that's what she wanted.

Reality, of course, had other plans.

It started at lunchtime.Jisoo opened her locker and found a neatly wrapped bento box sitting inside. The wrapping paper was pink with tiny hearts, tied with a silk ribbon.

"What in the K-drama is this?" she muttered.

There was also a note attached, written in elegant handwriting:

"To Jinu-oppa, thank you for being my sunshine. Please eat well. 💖"

Jisoo blinked.Then blinked again.

"…I'm not Jinu-oppa."

She looked around the hallway suspiciously, like a raccoon caught holding stolen snacks.Minji popped up behind her. "Ooh, did someone confess to you?"

"It's not for me! It's for my brother!"

Minji gasped. "Wait—did a fan actually mistake your locker for his?!"

"Apparently." Jisoo sighed. "Do I look like a famous idol who owns anime keychains and instant noodle coupons?"

"Yes," Minji said dead serious. "Exactly like that."

Jisoo groaned. "I'll just… return it later."

But as soon as she opened the bento box, curiosity betrayed her.Inside were perfectly shaped rice balls, glossy teriyaki chicken, and heart-shaped eggs.It even smelled like love.

Her stomach growled.

"Oh no," she whispered. "Oh yes," her stomach replied.

Five minutes later, the box was empty. The crime scene: spotless.

She sat there with her chopsticks, realizing what she'd just done."I… just ate my brother's fan's love offering."

Minji clutched her sides laughing. "You're literally the villain in a romance anime!"

"Shut up, Minji, I'm panicking!"

Later that day, she ran into Jinu near the university gate.He was wearing sunglasses indoors like a discount spy.

"Yo, sis!" he greeted, "Why do you look like you've committed a war crime?"

"Because I did," she hissed. "A food-related one."

"What?"

Jisoo shoved the empty lunchbox at him. "A fan gave this. To you. But it was in my locker. I thought— I didn't— and now it's gone!"

Jinu blinked, then burst out laughing so hard he had to hold the wall for balance.

"You ATE it?!"

"I panicked! It smelled too good! I have no self-control!"

He wiped a tear from his eye. "You're incredible. My fans are gonna love this."

"NO, THEY'RE NOT. They'll burn me alive."

"Relax. I'll say I shared it with you."

"That's still a lie!"

"Yeah, but a cute one."

Jisoo threw her bag at him. "You're the worst."

That evening, as she walked home, her phone buzzed with a notification.

"Thanks to the fan who sent me lunch today! I shared it with my sister — she said it was delicious 😋💖"

Jisoo froze mid-step.Then screamed into her hoodie.

"HE DID NOT—"

The comments were instant.

"OMG that's adorable!""His sister ate the lunch?? She's living the dream 😭""Protect the sister at all costs!""That's the girl who carried him, right? She's iconic."

Jisoo stared at her screen, stunned. Was… she actually getting positive comments?

For once, no insults. No fat jokes. No whispers.Just… support.

Her chest felt weirdly warm.

That night, she found herself writing slower in her diary.

Day 6: Accidentally ate fan lunch. Brother turned it into PR again. Somehow it didn't end in disaster.

Still fat. Still alive. Possibly adored by the internet for being chaotic.

PS: I think the lunch had a love letter. Wonder who wrote it…

She paused, tapping her pen against the page. Her mind flickered back to the handwriting — soft, careful, and strangely familiar.

Was it really just a random fan?Or… someone she'd met before?

The next morning, as she walked into class, a quiet voice stopped her.

"Um… excuse me. Did you get my lunch yesterday?"

Jisoo turned — and nearly dropped her phone.

Standing there was Kang Haneul, the top student in her department.Handsome, polite, quiet — and her secret crush since freshman year.

He rubbed the back of his neck, looking embarrassed."I think… you might've eaten my confession."

Jisoo's brain crashed. Her mouth opened, but no sound came out.

"W-wait— that was from you?!"

He smiled shyly."Yeah. I… didn't know your brother would post about it."

She stood there, red as a tomato, realizing this was worse — and better — than any chaos she'd faced before.
