SPECIAL CHAPTER
Go Eun Byul was certainly a fun person to be around.
I admit.
She wasn't one to start a concersation but she did make very meaningful contributions to our small talk. Her words, her actions...everything was so full of wisdom that at a point I was almost convinced that she was older than she looked.
She smiled at me and I just couldn't help but smile back. That was another thing about her. Whether it was her gummy smile or the dimples that appeared anytime she smiled, whatever it was... I noticed that everyone couldn't resist smiling back anytime she smiled t time.
It was almost as if she had an infectious smile. Almost as if you are being forced to return her smiles.
Jong Suk was half asleep on Minho's arms and he looked so adorable that I had to click a picture. The three boys were half drunk so they barely touched any of tge grilled meat from earlier. Ae Ra was apparently on a diet so Eun Byul and I were having the feast of our lives, happily stuffing our faces.
Min Ho was so far gone that he began to give TMI on him and his wife. Boring. No one was interested bit we awkwardly laughed anyway and I could tell that Eun Byul was very uncomfortable with the subject.
I quickly shoved a piece of meat in Min Ho's mouth to stop him from talking. He choked on it instantly and I suppressed a laugh, while clicking a picture. And let me tell you for a fact that it still came out good.
Min Ho can never take a bad picture.
Young gave me a glare and I frowned momentarily. I was confused when I felt his hand on my thigh. Was my mischief going way out of control?.
He smiled at me and I instantly froze.
Everything instantly froze. And Young frowned. Only one person can freeze time. One god.
Hades.
But what would Hades...God of the underworld possibly be doing in the land of earthlings?.
The wheels in his mind began turning and Young didn't like the kind of things that kept creeping up.
Hades was a womanizer.
Perhaps did he find lust in the arms of an earthling woman?.
Is Hades cheating on Persephone?.
Young pulled back his chair, ready to go in to in search of answers to the questions that plagued his curious mind but suddenly he saw movement from peripheral vision
"Jin Young?, where are you going?", a voice asked and he turned to stare at Go Eun Byul's face.
A frown was evident on Jin Young's face as he regarded Min Ho's wife with narrowed eyes. There was something about her that unsettled Young but he smiled at the group of people who were staring at his face in utter confusion.
He cleared his throat and gave a short laugh.
"I-...I just wanted to sober up a little so I...I was headed for the washroom", he said while stuttering intentionally to make it seem like was half drunk when in fact he was completely sober.
Gods and demigods can't get drunk. It was a fact.
Eun Byul sent a subtle smirk to Jin Young who silently gritted his teeth. Puppy who was busy munching on some meat turned to stare at Eun Byul and she could have sworn her eyes flashed a golden colour for a second.
Again I could be drunk or so Puppy thought.
