Chapter 3 - °Three•Training°

"....wake up! Hey! Wake up!"

I squirmed and lazily turn to the other side, grabbing a pillow and shutting off the sound. The pillow was soon snatched away from me. I turned to protest but came face to face with a very angry Rhea.

My eyes widen at the impact of the pillow as she shoved it to my face. "Wake up, we're going out," she called out. I pushed the pillow away and sat up, "Where to?"

"To train, you're weak as hell," she said pulling my soft left arm up. I sleepily nodded and leaned back into the bed. She pulled and twisted my left ear. The pain took over the left ear and I got pulled out of bed.

I tugged on her pants, "stop, stop! ow! please stop!" I screamed in pain. She pulled me up by the same ear, "get ready, we're heading out to train," and then, she dropped me. Great.

I heard her leave the room, closing the door behind her. I got up and headed to the bathroom. Turning on the faucet, I splashed my face with water. Coldwater slid down my face, dripping back into the sink. I opened the mirror in front of me to see an unused toothbrush and toothpaste.

I took them out and brushed my teeth. I did my business and got out of the bathroom right after. I held the handle of the cupboard. My mind thinking of a t-shirt with some sweatpants and obviously a pair of underwear. I opened the cupboard and found it was exactly what I was thinking of. Except it's all in... bright colors. Ugh, I forgot to mention the color I wanted.

No time to waste, I took them out and put them on. An orange t-shirt with soft blue sweatpants, not to mention, pink underwear. I combed my hair to the side and went to the cupboard, thinking of black sports shoes and a pair of white socks. Opening it to find just that. I put them on and ran out and down the stairs.

Rhea was waiting for me in the kitchen, she handed me a slice of bread with some butter on it, "eat that, we'll have proper breakfast when we're back."

I took the bread and placed it in my mouth. I hadn't check what time it was. I looked around the room and found a clock which pointed at half-past six. I shook my head at the clock, it's half past six.

I finished the bread and she handed me a bottle of water, I was about to open the cap, "don't finish it, it's for training later."

"It's not enough water!" I argued. A bottle of water will not be enough for training.

"It is, just don't drink too much and you'll be fine," she said, heading towards the door. I followed her out of the house. I pushed the fact that I might die of dehydration to the side and decided to just go through with it.

She suddenly started her jog. It took me by surprise and I quickly start to jog after her. "You're slow," she mocked. I purposely ran forward and pushed her slightly from my left, "jogging has to be slower than running, so..."

She nearly tripped but regained her balance quickly. "So what? This is training not joking," she said pushing me a little. Her strength caused me to fall over due to that push.

"See? You're weak," she stuck her tongue out and instead of helping me, she jogged away. I got up and brushed the dust off. I chased after her and pushed her forward. She fell over, "oh yeah? you're the same!"

I laughed out in victory. However, I celebrated too early, she got up and head-butted my stomach and it feels like I flew back a few feet! I stared at her as if she's crazy. My butt hurt!

She tried to hold in her laugh, her face inflating with air and laughter. That was a moment ago, she burst out laughing, "Oh my God! You're so weak!"

I furrowed my eyebrows and get up. Dust off any dust on my body and my backside. I rubbed my tail bone in pain with the impact. "You're so mean, Rhea," I said trying to pout.

"Pffft, don't do that, you look ugly!" she commented and laughter erupted within her again. I shoved her to the side and ran off. I thought she'd at least be nicer to me since she's the reason why I'm here.

She ran after me and pulled me to the side. My arms getting pulled by her felt as if it was ripping apart. "Don't be a sad sod, let's finish the run and we'll visit the human world, to do interesting things."

I refused her invitation, "I want to go back to sleep after this." She simply glared at me, "Sleep? No way! If you sleep, I'll kick you out?"

"I don't care! I'm tired!"

"Well, I care! You're not sleeping after this"

"Well, I want to! Let me sleep!"

"No!"

"I'll throw you to the other spirits!"

"....."

"No comment? That's what I thought."

I sighed heavily. I have no choice now. I don't want to be sent off to another spirit. They are mean, at least I have a shelter now I'm with Rhea. If I was with the other spirits, I've probably become their food.

She started to jog, using her powers to pull be with her. It felt as if there's an invisible string around my waist and she's pulling it with her. I pushed the feeling of the string aside and jog with her.

"How long more?" I whined.

"Shut up, if you don't, it will take longer."

"Noooooooo!" I yelled. She gave me a warning-like glare and I zipped my mouth.

My legs feel like they are falling apart, how long does this woman jog for? Maybe I'm exaggerating and it's just because I haven't run in a while. Yeah, that might be it. I paid attention in jogging so that I don't trip or fall and hopefully this misery will end soon.
