Chapter 50 - Getting ready

Author: Okay, so the next 5-6 chapters I am sorry about. Even I feel they a little pushed but it was the best I think I could do to bring about the changes. After that we will be getting into the lore I think people are more familiar with.

David began working on changing his physiology, this was a slow tedious task that took him hours, he had to adjust his cells to have the radiation absorbent aspect of Kal, creating the additional radiation storage organ was easy compared to the rest. GCA then administer the new nanites that replicated cell to cell absorbing the old nanites as they went.

Overall, this was no real increase in power for David, but it was a preparation he needs to do though. Laying on the table he let out a breath of relief, then got a curious look on his face. He could feel a very slight connection to Kal, it was nothing psychic. It was strange, he just somehow left a link to the child. (I am referring to Kal containing the Codex)

David guessed it was due to the gene changing, he would investigate it more when Kal was able to communicate.

David headed to the training room and had GCA override the safety so that it was all live fire. 'Hit me with all the energy attacks we have, once the nanites have adapted to one, hit me with the next. Then increase the intensity.'

'Yes, David'

David sat cross-legged in the middle of the room and began a painful experience.

At one point he asked Hela to hit him with death energy, it was the most painful experience ever, it also took the longest for the nanites to adapt to, Hela seemed to be enjoying herself though, that was plus he guessed.

David and Hela were working hard on bringing Heven back to the realms, but not in the same way Thor and Loki would later in history. They both understood that they needed the Angels (Yes, the ones who live in the Realm of Heven are Angels, I kid you not.) to rely on them, so they were in the midst of creating an open portal that was powered by one David's small Liquid Core engines. This would open their realm but also make it that David held power over them. Even now neither the Queen nor Angela was his match, once he absorbed the Odin-force things would change, the force would become him and he could use it instantly.

{History blurb from Fandom: Heven was one of the Ten Realms. Its inhabitants, the Angels, waged a war against Asgard. After the Queen of Angels seemingly killed his newborn infant Aldrif, Odin used his powers to cut off Heven from the other Nine Realms and Yggdrasil. In his hatred, Odin spat a curse upon the Angels, a curse wrought of the Odin-force to bind them from forever returning home, anchoring them deeper in the void. The Odin-force Curse was so powerful that the Angels used it to power their world.}

While working on the portal David decided to see if Hela was aware of her sister. "Hela, are you doing this to get your sister back, or remover her from the race for the throne?"

Hela stopped working and looked up at David confused, "My sister? Who are you referring too? Sister, wait, are you saying Aldrif was not killed? She is in Heven?"

David was once again impressed with this woman's deductive abilities; it took her less than 2 seconds to understand what he meant and work out the rest.

"Yes, Aldrif was never killed, the Queen believed she had killed her, but a handmaiden who was to dispose of her body realized the child still lived. The handmaiden named her Angela and raised her as a wingless angel. She should be the leader of her own Hunt and have her own manor."

Hela was looking at David with a strange look on her face, "I looked for her in my realm for decades, I searched all the realms I could touch and found nothing, my father believed I did not want to find her. Yet you know all of this, more than even all seer does (Heimdall)."

"Gods are not as powerful as they believe themselves to be, your father is not aware you are here, is he? Also, a warning, your sister has a close friend Sera, at one time she will die and be sent to you. Even if you have authority over Valhalla be nice to her, your sister will be incredibly grateful to you."

Hela nodded looking at David in a very strange manner, there was so much more to this being than she imagined. It seemed she had chosen the correct one. She had long spoken to Steph and they would be loyal sisters, but Steph had explained that David had a very intense loyalty and it might be hard to get him to accept her, even with Steph's acceptance.

The work on the portal progressed as David got more involved, he loved being able to create things again, playing with the building blocks, he loved how he could combine science and magic to make new things.

[You forgot, right?] Billy's voice sounded humorous

D:[I forgot what? Ohh Bucky fell, I see. Okay, his in the lab, once I finish here, I will work on him next.]

B:[Dad, you sure you okay? These days I can no longer see your side, if I try, I get a headache. It's like trying to study something way too complicated for me.]

D:[Oh? Well, I am slowly evolving as I live. I did notice that even without the altar I am gaining strength. Maybe we need to let you use it?]

B:[No way, I am actually happy being with Libby. I think I get the better version of our lives.]

D:[Since you happy there have you decided what to do once the Capsicle happens?]

B:[Libby and I will become the face of the company, Nat said she wants to see you again. Each time she goes back she gets to see her mom but not you, and be careful dad, that girl has grown up in all the right places and she knows it as well.]

D:[Point taken son, this solar system needs a strong godlike protector to ward off the other systems, thanks to Hela I might have all I need soon. If anything changes on earth you need to let me know. I am unsure if my work will affect it.]

B;[Sure dad, good luck!]

David realized he was getting focused on bigger things before he had resolved any of the concerns on earth. It was a good thing he had Billy there, but what Billy said was curious. Was he really that far beyond his old self now that even his thoughts were unreadable? He created Billy so they could work towards the same goals without the need for long debates.

"DAVID!" Hela suddenly shouted at him

"What? Why are you shouting?"

"You completed it all yourself, why did you not tell me you had this reality power? It would have saved us so much time!" Hela was indicating the portal, the fully complete and ready to run portal.

While he had been distracted David had warped reality to complete it, "Damn, I am sorry. I am trying to stop using it like that. I was distracted and did it. I wanted to do it all by hand and enjoy the feeling of creating something that way."

Hela started at David like he was an idiot, "You had this power all the time? And you trying NOT to use it? Are you an idiot? Do you realize how powerful this makes you?"

"Yes, I think I do. Using it without thought is dangerous though, imagine I am annoyed with someone or something and act without thought while I am distracted by something. How do we know that if I "fix" them, it is really them?"

Hela stared at David for a few seconds, "Fair point, but maybe make more use of it consciously, I would imagine it would help you control it faster."

David nodded as he considered her opinion, while Hela was considering the power he would have once he gained "Sabah-force", she swallowed and flushed slightly. This man would be much stronger than her even if she gained more death realms.
