I HOPE YOU ARE SATISFIED
Watching as he wipes the tears away, Train said, "For two months, the children were happy? Torren was happy? I hope you are satisfied that you have finally driven her away.
I know that it was your intention from the moment you saw Torren happy, so you had to make problems? Well, you have gotten your wish; they are unhappy. I am certain it is only you and Travis that is happy, something you should be very proud of; you finally succeeded in accomplishing your task."
Pushing aside his plate, which was untouched. Train stood up and left the table, going to his room. Carl notices Careen and Lasandra were also in tears; they love Dad and Torren.
They were also missing him when they left; their plates were untouched, just like Dad.
Hearing Candis say, "Why do they always blame me when things go wrong?"
Carl said, "Because you are the one always stirring up trouble."
"Carl, you don't have to get angry. How was she to know Shawney would leave?" Travis responds.
Carl replies, "Candis, Shawney is not a member of the family; she is just a guest, and because you accused Torren of being with her, she was offended, so what do you expect her to do?"
"Carl, I wasn't lying, Shawney was in Torren's room, I don't know how, but she was there."
"But Candis, if it was true, Torren is not a child that you always have to be interfering with his personal life?
And Shawney is answerable for what she does. Yes, he may be unstable at times, but you cannot tell him how to live his life."
"Hear what I said, what I see, and it is the truth, and everyone has their own opinion, I don't care."
"It seems as though you are happy when Dad, Torren, Careen, the children, and Lasandra are unhappy.
But because of Shawney, my wife was comfortable and was well taken care of. Three weeks, she never left them undone."
Lasandra called from the corridor, "Candis knew Shawney was responsible for Careen being comfortable, for the last two weeks before the baby came.
And not once did she lift her finger to help. I hope the way the baby is attached to Shawney, he doesn't give any trouble."
"The way you all sound is like Shawney is some kind of saint?"
This time it was Jeff who responded to her remarks, "That is enough out of you, this house had peace, now it is in chaos, since you accused both of them?
Now that the family is in a disarray, Torren is not eating or sleeping. Do you want him to start misbehaving again? I have made many mistakes in the past, but I am trying to amend my ways. And I agree with Carl and the others, from what I observed these last two months, Shawney had this family happy."
"My Lord, have you all been blinded by her act?"
'Hello, young lady, no one is blind except you, it seems, whatever Shawney has been doing for the family, we should all be grateful."
Jeff was enraged as he said, lifting his voice for everyone to hear as he walked towards her, "Candis, what you don't understand is that she didn't have to do it, and you can't seem to accept that fact. She doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, she was our guest and doing us a favour, thanks to her, Careen and baby Christopher were okay."
"You all shock me at times. I wonder if you all have been listening to yourselves?"
"Candis, it seems as though you are the one not listening. My wife doesn't need any stress right now. She only has two months to go again, and if Torren starts misbehaving, we will all be stressed out, so do us all a favour and start attending church; that goes for you, too, Travis. You might just be amazed at what God can do in your life, because from where I am standing, you two seem to have a lot more problems than you know about."
"You can't tell me what to do in this house, and mind your own business."
"I may not be able to tell you two what to do in this house? But I could fire both of you for the faulty job you are doing at the factory?"
"What are you talking about, Jeff?"
"Recently, Torren was showing me that your signatures were in many batches of clothes Travis took on the road for delivery, and no cash was received from those orders of delivery."
"That cannot be, I didn't sign any order for Travis, and that isn't in my department anyhow."
Then maybe Travis could explain why your signature is in all those delivery invoices."
"Well, Travis, tell them that is untrue, because I didn't sign any delivery orders."
"Sorry, love, but your signature is there; how can I say it is not true? It is written evidence."
"But Travis, I didn't sign any orders for delivery for you or anyone else."
Seeing him stand up, "You, oh my God, you put my signature and are allowing my family to believe that I am part of your swindling and defrauding the family's money from the Company. Travis, I am speaking to you. How long have you been doing this?"
When Travis begins to walk away, Jeff replies, "It's been over six months, my dearest sister."
