Chapter 14 - WHOSE VOICE WAS I HEARING.

Train asks politely knowing Jeff's facial expression is angry, "What is wrong Jeff?"

He got no answer from Jeff seeing Torren following behind him a few minutes later. "Torren, why is Jeff so angry?"

Torren's face was gloomy when he said, "Maybe he sees someone he likes, and they don't like him, I don't know."

Turning suddenly in his rage as he stop climbing the stairs, hearing what Torren said, Jeff shouts back at Torren in anger. "You don't know, you sit with that woman talking for so long, and had me waiting in the car."

Anger flared up, but he restrained his voice, "Jeff, didn't I tell you earlier to come back after my secession, which takes almost two hours, so why are you behaving so insolent and hot-tempered?"

Train observed that although Jeff was angry, Torren was speaking calmly. "I am not angry about that, Torren?" Jeff replies angrily.

Turning to look at Jeff, not wanting to miss his expression, Torren asks nonchalantly, "Then explain to me why you are so angry Jeff?"

Torren glared at Jeff trying to figure out who exactly he was so angry about. "It's the other one," Jeff complained without giving a proper explanation.

Train observed the both of them, when Torren asks, "When you say another one, are you all riled up because I was speaking with Miss. Wayman?"

Hearing Jeff demanded, "Is that her name?"

Torren was still calm when he responded, "Yes, Jeff that's her name and she is my friend."

Jeff was still annoyed having to wait an extra thirty minutes, "So, tell me, why were you all listening to her?"

Torren pressed his fingers between his eyebrows, feeling frustrated having to explain, "Don't you want to know about God, Jeff?"

Becoming irritated being questioned by this foolish brother of his, "Torren, that's not fair."

Train notices Torren cunning smile although he is frustrated. Suddenly he becomes concerned wondering if this anger that he is bundled up with, will affect him.

Observing how he was trying to control his rage when he kept taking deep breaths, it wasn't long before he spoke what was on his mind, "Look Jeff, if taking me to my secession is a problem. Then on my next clinic appointment. I will call a taxi, so I won't be a burden to you or put anyone else out of their way."

At that moment Train intervenes in the conversation between the both of them. Having a fair understanding of what the problem was.

Train responds interrupting the both of them, "That won't be necessary Torren, didn't you say she is my friend? So I will take you and see if I can recall who this Miss Wayman is?"

Turning to his dad Torren replies with a smile on his face, "No need for that dad, I invited her over for the weekend after she asked if you returned. Dad, I believe she is from a very poor family and Jeff when Miss Wayman comes you should meet her."

Train watches him walk to the study and stand by the window. Follows him inside the study wanting to know what he is thinking. Seeing the way he leans his head on the burglar-proof as he continues to breathe, "Torren why do you say that Son?"

When Torren said, "Dad, I believe the family shouldn't get any misconception about Miss Wayman but we should help her, From what I observed Dad, her clothes are outdated and her shoes are worn out."

Hearing him speak as though he pitty her condition and situation, "Torren tell me does her appearance bother you?"

Observing how quickly he responded, "No Dad, not in the lease, it was just my observation."

Train pondered on his words and then suggested, "Then, if that is the case I believe it's time you give away all Dalia's clothes that have been packed up for so long."

Hearing Torren outburst Train just stands still, "Now you are talking madness dad, I design all her clothes myself."

Train realised he wasn't ready to let go of Dalia's memories, and he didn't want to force him. With that in mind, Train quietly left the study.

Torren heard his dad's voice saying, "I know son, but what are you keeping it for? There are people like Miss Wayman wearing clothes that are outdated, and having no idea where their next meal is coming from. And you have a heap of beautiful clothes just rotting away."

"Dad, please stop that, it reminds me of my love for Dalia. Is that too hard for everyone to understand?" Torren felt his heart was tightening only hearing to get rid of her belongings.

"Torren, it is already two years, don't you think it is time to let go and move on."

Torren heart grieved hearing those words, "I will dad, I just need some more time that's all."

"Well son, I just hope it is not another two years?"

Angry with his dad for saying those words, "Do you have to say it with such remorse, Dad?" Torren turned around only to realize that he was all alone.

Fear fills his heart seeing there was no one in the study with him. "So whose voice was I hearing, and who was I speaking to? When did I start hearing voices again? I had only turned my back looking at the flower garden. When he told me to give away Dalia's clothes. Was I so lost in my thoughts that I lost track of time?'

Recalling how Miss Wayman was attending to the roses Sunday. 'Oh God, I feel like I am losing my mind once more.'

When the clock bangs three. "Dear God, was I standing by the window for an hour and a half, was I daydreaming?"

Stepping away from the window and seeing Liz, Torren asks, "Liz, how long did Dad leave the study?"

Liz was a bit afraid of the young Master's behaviour, so she avoided him as much as possible. Responding to him quickly, "Sir, your Dad has been resting for about an hour now."
