Chapter 16 - JEFF WAS ANGRY

Seeing Gretta's eyes closing, "Our baby was missing you so much." Liz waited until she was asleep, then checked on Tray before going to her room. Exhaustion overtook her, and before she could count five, she was already sleeping.

The week slipped by slowly, and Train waited at home patiently the entire week. He didn't want to miss Shawney or reveal his true intention. All he could do was keep hoping she had a plan to help settle his mind and bring some relief.

Feeling the heavy burden from the long wait, he knew he could not ask questions. Neither showed that he was interested because they would raise suspicion that he had something to do with her coming.

Well, having no choice, Train knew he had to keep his cool and patience. To keep himself occupied and in the right frame of mind, he read the Bible to help him wait it out

Disregarding the glaring from family members, the servants, the cook and the Nanny, Train relax unconcerned.'

As the days passed, Jeff felt it was quite suspicious that his dad hadn't visited the factory. "He was away for six months, so why is he sitting at home? I know the business has improved a lot, hearing the many extra orders we have received. Even the report I gave him just brought smiles to his face. Hearing him say, "His trip was successful."

Friday morning, with Torren visiting the clinic, Train stayed home; he still didn't go to the factory, knowing I was taking Torren.

Train just relax, hoping Shawney would visit, not wanting to miss her. Looking at his watch while relaxing on the sofa, he knows the boys will return soon.

With his eyes closed, when the boys came home. Jeff enters the drawing room, and he grumbles angrily.

Hearing Jeff, Train's eyes flip open, he immediately suspects something must have happened to trigger Jeff's anger, especially hearing the verbal abuse word as he storms in.

Train asks politely, knowing Jeff's facial expression is angry, "What is wrong, Jeff?"

He got no answer from Jeff, seeing Torren following behind him a few minutes later. "Torren, why is Jeff so angry?"

Torren's face was gloomy when he said, "Maybe he sees someone he likes, and they don't like him, I don't know."

Hearing what Torren said, Jeff turns suddenly in his rage as he stops climbing the stairs. Jeff shouts back at Torren in anger. "You don't know, you sit with that woman talking for so long, and have me waiting in the car."

Torren's anger flared up, but he restrained himself, listening to Jeff's complaints, then said, "Jeff, didn't I tell you earlier to come back after my secession, which takes almost two hours, so why are you behaving so insolently and hot-tempered?"

Immediately, Train observed that although Jeff was angry, Torren was speaking calmly. "I am not angry about that, Torren?" Jeff replies angrily.

Turning to look at Jeff, not wanting to miss his expression, Torren asks nonchalantly, "Then explain to me why you are so angry, Jeff?"

Torren glared at Jeff, trying to figure out what exactly he was so angry about. "It's the other one," Jeff complained without giving a proper explanation.

Train observed both of them when Torren asked, "When you say another one, are you all riled up because I was speaking with Miss. Wayman?"

Hearing Jeff demanded, "Is that her name?"

Torren was still calm when he responded, "Yes, Jeff, that's her name, and she is my friend."

Jeff was still annoyed about having to wait an extra thirty minutes. "So, tell me, why were you all listening to her?"

Torren pressed his fingers between his eyebrows, feeling frustrated having to explain, "Don't you want to know about God, Jeff?"

Becoming irritated by being questioned by this foolish brother of his, Torren, That's not fair."

Train notices Torren's cunning smile, although he seems to be frustrated. Suddenly, he becomes concerned, wondering if the anger that he is holding within will affect him.

Observing how he was trying to control his rage when he kept taking deep breaths, it wasn't long before he spoke what was on his mind, "Look, Jeff, if taking me to my session is a problem. Then, on my next clinic appointment. I will call a taxi, so I won't be a burden to you or put anyone else out of their way."

At that moment, Train intervenes in the conversation between the two boys. Having a fair understanding of what the problem was.

Train responds, interrupting them both, "That won't be necessary, Torren. Didn't you say she is my friend? So I will take you and see if I can recall who this Miss Wayman is?"

Turning to his dad, Torren replies with a smile on his face, "No need for that, I invited her over for the weekend after she asked if you returned. Dad, I believe she is from a very poor family, and Jeff, when Miss Wayman comes, you should meet her."

Train watches him walk to the study and stand by the window. Following him inside the study, Train wants to know what he is thinking. Seeing the way he leans his head on the burglar-proof as he continues to breathe, "Torren, why do you say that, Son?"

When Torren said, "Dad, I believe the family shouldn't get any misconception about Miss Wayman, but we should help her. From what I observed, Dad, her clothes are outdated, and her shoes are worn out."

Hearing him speak as though he pitied her condition and situation, "Torren, tell me, does her appearance bother you?"
