Sophia's POV
" Why would you think showing me memories of my past would help me understand what's happening to me right now? you didn't give me any answers all you did was confuse me more and force me to remember memories that are painful." Tears begin to fall from my face as I look into the eyes of the person who reminded me of all the friendships that turned into complete trash.
She slowly moves closer to me as an attempt to comfort me not knowing that it's only making me angrier with my decision of deciding to trust her. " Sophia I showed you those memories because there were key parts that you yourself were unable to discover. Sit down and I will explain everything to you." She reaches for my hand as she slowly sinks into the garden of flowers.
" You might not believe the methods I used would give you answers but that's simply because you were paying attention to all the wrong things." The look of confusion on my face is enough to tell her to continue. "I didn't show you every memory that was inside of you, just key memories that would allow you to understand the life you had to live and why your friendships with those select few didn't prosper as the years went on."
First memory door;
"In the very beginning, you were given as a gift to your mother who wanted to have a child but couldn't. Your father had no knowledge of what happened but he was excited about having his first child. And as the months past her stomach grew with a beautiful baby boy. She had a miscarriage and didn't want to tell Steve, so she prayed to me for a baby and I gave her my baby girl in exchange." My eyes shifted to the women sitting in front of me. Does this mean she's my mother.
Second memory door;
" Before all of the abuse, you met your first of four mates Connor, the moment you two met he instantly felt the bond the two of you shared. Connor isn't human he's a Vampire meaning that they don't always have someone they become linked with for the rest of their lives. when the two of you met at the park that day he told his parents about how he felt a connection to the pretty girl named Sophia. And ever since that day he fell in love with you wanting to see you every day and be by you side through everything.
Fourth memory door;
" As the years went by your father began to suspect that you weren't his daughter at all and believed that your mother had an affair. She was to scared to tell him the truth, that she lost the baby she was carrying and that the baby was traded with mine. She swore to keep the deal a secret between the two of us until the time was right. So she let him her mate believe that she had relations with someone else causing Steve to go into a rage that his mate would betray him. He couldn't hurt his mate because the wolf inside him would never allow it so instead he took it out on the beautiful baby girl he thought to be his. And that was the day the promise between you and Connor was made, that he would always be there to protect you no matter what."
" Wait! Are you trying to tell me that my father has abused me all these years because he's not my father at all and you're my real mother?" I could feel my heart breaking at the thought that my real mother knew everything that was happening and still never came back for me.
" Sophia I gave you to Audrey as a way of protecting you and the deal we made was that I wasn't allowed to come in contact with you until you found your mates, until the prophecy was starting to unfold. You found and had memories with all of them, the medication that Audrey was giving you was to hide your true form from the world until you were strong enough to protect yourself, strong enough to train and control the powers that flow within you. I promise all will be explained when i'm finished and all your questions will be answered."
Seventeenth memory door;
" The first time that he protected you he was at school getting ready to try out for the football team when he smelled your blood in the air. He left try outs and ran to your house to protect you from Steve who was violently yelling and hitting you. what you don't know is that after you left Connor threatened him telling him that if he ever put his hands on you again that he would see to it he was imprisoned for his crimes and was never allowed near you again."
" OK wait a minute what do you mean he's a vampire like a real on? Aren't those things fiction" Sophia ask with a look of confusion.
" My child, everything you believe to not be real is."
Eighteenth memory door;
" That's why Connor had to leave, someone discovered that the royal vampire family was living in town and was planning an attack. He begged his parents to let him stay and be with you but it was to dangerous. Steve leaked the information of Connor and his parents living near your house to known enemies of the royals. But what you also don't know is that the attack was successful, Connor's parents were killed when they were getting ready to move back into the town. Since that day only two people know what he looks like you and his warrior. As much as he wanted to come back he never could ."
" Co-co's parent's are dead because of what Steve did. I should've never let him protect me, I shouldn't have argued with him the last time we seen each other."
