I wasn't just running away from them, I was running from my responsibilities. The realization of what this world demanded, what it meant to step across that threshold, hit me with a shocking force and entering this life wasn't about freedom, but about shouldering a full weight of obligations. I hadn't imagined that simple entrance would result in this life-altering commitment.
I kept running and running, I don't have a place in mind, I just followed where my foot takes me to, until I came to a place I had never seen before. It was a wide, open field surrounded by lot's of tall trees. In the center of this space was a huge, beautiful tree. It was covered in bright pink flowers that hung low, it looks just like a cherry blossom but it's not. The flowers touched a small, pond that wrapped around the tree. The tree sat on a little island in the middle of the water, but I could still reach it. There was a smooth stone path built just for me to walk right to the tree.
