"Trying to scape?". Luke is holding her tightly from behind. Seeing her leave made him panicked.
"Mr.Stronghold.... Let me go!". Selena squeal.
"What happened to Luke?". He never hated his last name before but when he heard it from his Mate's lips he became a bit angry.
'And what happened to MY LOVE?'. She wanted to asked him too but change her mind in a snap. Thinking he might laugh at her again. She remembered how he addressed her when her consciousness was fading. 'Or is it just a dream?'. She asked herself while struggling. "Luke can you please let me go!". He wants her to say his name and so she did. It feels good anyway. She thought.
"No I can't!".
"What do you want?". Selena's body is getting hot by a second. But she don't understand why. it is a new and stranger feeling for her.
She was thinking earlier of how it would feel like to be in his arms just a moment ago. Now her wish came true. She can feel Luke's warm body. 'Well enjoy it while it last'. The naughty Selena inside her seems to be enjoying the moment.
"Your not going to run away, are you?". Luke paused but his breathing becomes heavy. "I haven't punished you yet". His words almost like a whisper.
Selena feels like she was about to melt. His warm breath is fanning behind her ear and it tickles her and her imagination. "Luke I'm still a virgin I don't want to pay you with my body". Those words came out from her mouth involuntarily. Then pursed her lips after realizing what she just said.
"I know.... I can smell your purity". He released her after saying it.
Again Selena was stunned. She turned around and looked at him with wide eyes and she can see him grinning from ear to ear. But her face flashed red in embarrassment. She feels like crying. 'I'm just indebted with two package of humiliation this year'.
Luke's grin slowly fade. He became worried. He can see how embarrassed Selena was and she looks like she wants to cry. He felt bad. 'I think I pushed myself too hard'. "Selena, baby I'm sorry... I didn't mean to tease you that hard". He felt very apologetic and tried to coax her.
'Baby?'. The word itself is screaming inside her brain. 'Before MY LOVE now BABY.... what's wrong with this person... Is he seducing me or just playing around with me?'. She's getting confused and angry now.
"I want to go now!". She said loudly to him.
Luke shoulders sank. He thought he made a mistake of teasing her. Selena looks angry and he don't want to make things worst. Though he don't want her to leave yet but her words sounds very determined.
Selena was looking at him with knitted brows. Waiting for his decision. Then she made a bet on herself. 'If you grab me again, I swear I'll scream and make you marry me'. Selena's naughty side approves with the idea.
Luke sighed looking at his mate's expression. She looks angry. "Wait here I'll just put some clothes on". He quickly turned and headed to his wardrobe.
Now, Selena's shoulder sank. "God, why did you forsaken me!". She mumbled. She felt a bit disappointed. 'Stupid Selena'. Her naughty side is now cursing her. 'You scared him away'. She hit her forehead. 'Yeah right like I said it out loud'. She thought marriage really do scare all the men.
Minutes later.
A serious Luke came out from the other room. He is now wearing a muscle fit white shirt and a denim jeans. Selena's nostrils were enchanted by his scent. She closed her eyes and savor the manly scent as if this is the most pleasant aroma she had ever smell.
"Are you sleepy?". Luke was watching her inhale the air around with her eyes closed. He tried to tease her again. She didn't even noticed he walks by and stand in front of her.
Selena suddenly opened her eyes. Her male god is already standing in front of her and she didn't even noticed his presence. She was too intoxicated by his scent alone. "NO!". she exclaimed.
"Let's go then". He grabs her hand and drag her out of the room. One more minute with her, he might not let her go ever again.
Selena just let his male god drag her around. 'Drag me till the end of the world... I won't mind'. Her thoughts are screaming with wild fantasies. Her eyes are fixed in Luke's hand holding her. She was grinning.
They end up in a luxurious living room and Selena saw all of her classmates sitting in a long sofa while the others are standing up. Quin is the first one to stand up.
"Where have you been?..... We've been so worried. I saw you pass beyond the rope". She said out loud. Her intention is for everyone to hear.
Luke's face was in grimaced. He can tell that the young blonde wants to stir up trouble for his beloved Mate.
"Hey, isn't that called cheating?.... Clint and Kevin who was born in this place are in your group means you already have an advantage why do you have to cheat?". A brown hair girl spoke to support Quin's accusation.
"I can't believed you can do this to us. Just for a grade!". Another follow up.
"Now now, young girls... Don't make some accusation without any evidence". Avery said softly.
"Mrs. Stronghold, I am telling the truth I saw her go beyond the rope". Quin won't rest until she get what she wants and she wants Selena to flunk this experiment.
Quin noticed how Luke Stronghold gives to much importance to a new face in their town. She's not even a competition for her. An average nobody compared to her beauty is a great insult to her pride. Quin is in love with Luke since the day she saw him in her father's office. Since then she bugged her father everyday to asked the Stronghold to invite them over to this Village but no luck on their side. A sudden change came when Selena attended their Academy. The Stronghold Village becomes open all of a sudden and only their class are invited. Her guts are telling her that Selena is her enemy and her evidence, Luke came with her and he is holding her hand in the most gentle way.
'I won't give you up Luke, you are mine alone'. Quin told herself with determination.
"Quin sweety...I think you're mistaken". Avery said in her polite tone. She even patted her shoulder.
Quin snap out of her deep thoughts and looked at Avery. "No I'm not, I saw her... Why don't you ask her?". Her voice is getting loud. She's getting pissed. She can feel that the mother and son don't believed her words.
Selena wants to speak but Luke pressed her hand tightly. She looked up to him and saw him smile. 'What is he up to now?'. She wondered.
"Selena is with me yesterday". Avery said suddenly.
All eyes falls' to Avery after saying those words. And anyone can tell they were all surprised with her revelation. Even Quin's mouth was in gape and her brain was in panicked.
"No she can't be!... I saw her!". Quin is getting hysterical and her tone is escalating.
"She did go beyond the rope because she saw me. She was asking for Kevin and Clint back there". Avery paused and stared at Quin. "I believed everyone here knows how fond I am of Selena. I persuaded her to stay here in our house as you can see I also gave her a beautiful dress. Isn't she lovely?". Avery with her adorable soft personality seems convinced the human students except Quin.
"Mrs. Stronghold already informed me yesterday of Selena's whereabouts. I didn't know you would care to know so I decided to keep it for myself". Mr. Medina backing up Avery's story. He knows his words itself can convince everyone inside the room.
'Holy shit!...who did I saved from my last life to be treated this good'. Selena was in awe. The Stronghold family and her professor are trying to save her from humiliation. Her lips twitch. 'The Queen was slaughtered'. She's laughing inside.
"Okay kids why don't we give this issue a rest.... Quin sweety, is there anything more you want to add?". Avery with all her sweetness turned to Quin.
Quin felt defeated. She can't believed the situation will turn against her. She can feel those judgemental eyes poking her. Luke's mother made her a liar in front of everyone. She felt overly embarrassed and also very angry at Selena but she can't retaliate anymore. She just shut her mouth and lowered her head.
"Well then let's eat!". Avery clapped her hands and led them all to the dining hall.
It was a late breakfast. Luke still assisting Selena to her seat and served her plate. While Selena is stupidly looking at him. She is watching Luke's every move. The way he puts food on her plate. Telling her to eat more and the way he eat his meal. Selena was in daze when she said something more stupid.
"MARRY ME!".
Luke heard it so clear he almost choked himself to death. Selena offered him some water.
All the people on the table became dumbfounded. Except for Quin. "Shameless". She mumbled to herself.
Silly grin formed on the faces of Shadow Claw members. Their future Luna is quite bold. Mind links everywhere.
"What did you just say?". Luke wants to hear it again. His Mate asking him to marry her.
"Nothing!". A cold expression was flashing on Selena's face. She grabbed her spoon and shove a lot of food inside her mouth. She even forgot she already ate earlier.
"No.... You said something like.... MARRY ME!". Luke put a deep emphasis on his last word. He is very eager to hear again what his mate said.
All the people in the table are simply watching them. Avery is the only one who almost giggle with the situation. But she knows Selena will never admit what she just said.
'Young love'. Avery whispered to the air.
"Oh.... I was thinking about a movie called MARRY ME". Selena lowered her head in embarrassment. She pretended that she was enjoying her food. Like she will admit the slip of her tongue to anyone.
Luke just stared at her and didn't say anything more. He don't want to forced her. He knows she will not say it again but what he heard made him happy. Knowing his mate is starting to have feelings for him is a great achievement for the day. He needs to wait until she's ready. He saw her eating a lot but he knows she's only pretending to enjoy her food.
'Give her sometime'. Avery send his son a message. She was smiling widely. 'I think you haven't work hard enough'.
'She will regret taking her words back'. A message of threat was sent to Avery and she giggles.
