EXT. METROP
THE OVERLORD watches as THE ROGUE tosses another blade that kills another person near him, THE OVERLORD smirking as she aims at him and sneers before throwing her blade, THE OVERLORD once again catching it as he wags his finger at her and tosses it back, THE ROGUE trying to catch it but misjudges the speed and watches as the blade stabs through her palm, THE ROGUE screaming as the blade stuck nearly all the way through her hand, THE ROGUE quickly pulling it out as she ducks back down, closing her eyes as tears of pain come out as she rips her pants and quickly wraps it, THE OVERLORD smirking as he lights another cigarette.
THE OVERLORD
I am growing impatient! Focus on the woman! Kill the woman and forget the others...
THE STRANGER
Worst mistake you ever made!
THE OVERLORD watches as THE STRANGER breaks two men's necks as he then runs and jumps, tackling THE OVERLORD off of his horse as THE RENEGADE holds his hand out as some people aimed and fired at him, THE RENEGADE slowing the bullets as he then closes his hand and watches the bullets sail back, hitting the people in the head who had fired them at him.
THE LONER runs outside as fires wildly and still hits his targets as he slides behind the crates near THE ROGUE, who is holding her hand.
THE LONER
You okay?
THE ROGUE nods as THE LONER looks about, shooting a MAN who had appeared beside them in the face as THE LONER looks to see THE STRANGER and THE OVERLORD wrestling about as THE GAMBLER was laying waste to anyone he got near, THE GAMBLER punching an older woman in the face so hard her brains popped out into mushy bits and pieces.
THE LONER
We're almost home free, just...
THE LONER starts as he hears something, THE LONER looking up as he hears the sound of hooves slowly trotting into the CITY streets, the sound of spurs clinking together as THE GAMBLER stops and turns around as well, THE RENEGADE eying the new MAN with suspect as THE OVERLORD and STRANGER look up as well.
The MAN looks about and steps off his HORSE, slapping it as the HORSE hurries off out of sight as the PONCHO WEARING MAN shifts a toothpick in his mouth from left to right as he flicks his hat upwards.
PONCHO WEARING MAN
Howdy.
THE RENEGADE catches a glimmer of something and quickly screams.
THE RENEGADE
STRANGER!
The STRANGER looks at the RENEGADE curiously.
THE RENEGADE
It's the MAVERICK!
The STRANGER looks forward in horror as THE MAVERICK smirks as he lifts up his PONCHO and produces TWO DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVERS.
THE STRANGER
Move!
THE LONER squats down with THE ROGUE in hand as THE STRANGER rolls out of the way as THE MAVERICK begins opening fire at him, THE OVERLORD already far enough away as THE GAMBLER looks about and grabs a rock, throwing it at THE MAVERICK with all his might.
THE MAVERICK suddenly jumps backwards and aims upwards, shooting a bullet from each gun as the bullets hit the rock and explode it, THE MAVERICK landing on his back as he slides a bit and begins aiming at the GAMBLER, firing at him as THE GAMBLER quickly runs and ducks behind a cart wagon.
THE MAVERICK stands and opens fire back at THE STRANGER, THE STRANGER pulling his PISTOLS out as THE MAVERICK fires and hits the top of THE STRANGER'S hat, before hearing his guns reach their empty mark.
THE STRANGER nods and stands opening fire at him as THE MAVERICK runs to cover but as he does THE LONER stands and aims at him, THE MAVERICK dropping his REVOLVERS as THE LONER FIRES.
THE MAVERICK suddenly draws a large DAGGER and almost as if the sword had a mind of its own, the BLADE deflects the sure kill shot, THE LONER looking on in horror as the glimmering small sword was shining a silver mist like color as it was glimmering with symbols.
THE ROGUE see's it as well as she pulls THE LONER back down.
THE ROGUE
What the fuck is that!
THE LONER
It's an angelic blade...it's one of the only things that can kill us permanently.
THE ROGUE
How did he get one of those!
THE LONER
I don't know...
THE STRANGER walks around from his hiding spot as he keeps firing at THE MAVERICK who keeps alluding him by rolling and jumping out of the way, THE MAVERICK putting the blade away as he swings his DOUBLE BARREL around.
THE STRANGER fires again just as THE MAVERICK aims the DOUBLE BARREL at him, THE STRANGER jumping to his left as he barely misses the first shot which takes a large chunk out of the cart wagon where the GAMBLER was lying behind.
THE GAMBLER
Whoa....shit! That was too close...
THE GAMBLER stands and runs, firing from his gun at the MAVERICK who jumps as his crates explode from the GAMBLER'S bullet, THE MAVERICK quickly rolling to his feet as he turns and lays three shots into oncoming METROP CITIZENS still under orders from THE OVERLORD.
THE STRANGER reloads and quickly puts a round into a MAN'S chest as he then jumps out of the way of THE MAVERICK'S first reloaded shot from the DOUBLE BARREL, the STRANGER rolling as he opens fire at a group of people, killing them as THE MAVERICK took care of a WOMAN aiming down at him from the rooftop directly above him, THE LONER shooting down a few more people as well as THE ROGUE uses her good hand and aims at the MAVERICK, throwing three blades directly at his face.
THE MAVERICK dodges the first two but is nicked across the cheek by the third, THE MAVERICK ducking behind cover as he pops open the DOUBLE BARREL and dumps out the smoking shells, THE MAVERICK reloading as THE ROGUE winces in pain and pulls out another blade.
THE ROGUE
I think I nicked him...
THE LONER
Great, let's just keep pissing him off.
THE MAVERICK stands and aims, blowing the top half of the CRATE THE ROGUE was behind into smithereens, THE ROGUE screaming as THE LONER pulls her down and towards him as THE MAVERICK stood and began walking towards them, preparing another shot that never gets out as THE RENEGADE appears and kicks the MAVERICK across the chest, the blow so powerful THE MAVERICK sails fifteen feet down the road, slamming face first into the dirt road.
THE MAVERICK shakes his head as THE RENEGADE hurries towards him.
THE RENEGADE
The blade you possess is not yours by ethereal right!
THE MAVERICK
Sure seems to like me well enough.
THE RENEGADE throws another punch but THE MAVERICK dodges it and punches THE RENEGADE across the jaw, THE RENEGADE reeling as he steps back in shock as he spits out blood.
THE MAVERICK
Confused?
THE MAVERICK holds up his hands with TWO RINGS on his INDEX FINGERS.
THE RENEGADE
How did you...
THE MAVERICK
I stole them off my first angel I killed, to think all it takes to injure and less the amount of damage you take from one of you is two silly rings.
THE RENEGADE throws another punch in fury but THE MAVERICK blocks it and punches THE RENEGADE across the jaw again, the quickly in the gut, then the head again, before kneeing upwards and hitting the RENEGADE in the abdomen, THE RENEGADE spitting out blood as THE MAVERICK laughs and then steps back before punting the RENEGADE across the chin.
THE MAVERICK pulls out the SMALL ANGELIC SWORD and rears back to stab downwards into THE RENEGADE'S CHEST, but he quickly deflects a shot as THE STRANGER was running at him, firing from both guns as THE MAVERICK was instinctively blocking each shot, but as he did the STRANGER throws his guns down and uppercuts THE MAVERICK across the chin, knocking him onto his back as THE STRANGER stomps on the MAVERICKS arm which held the ANGELIC BLADE, the MAVERICK screaming as his grip loosened, and THE STRANGER was able to kick it a few feet away from the MAVERICK, who quickly recovers and side sweeps THE STRANGER'S LEGS from out under him.
THE STRANGER spins and tries to crawl to grab the ANGELIC BLADE but the MAVERICK quickly jumps to his feet and kicks THE STRANGER across the ribs a few times before kicking him across the head three times, THE MAVERICK stepping over THE STRANGER who was slightly disoriented as THE MAVERICK picks up the ANGELIC BLADE, turning to the THE STRANGER.
THE MAVERICK
Time's up.
THE STRANGER reaches for his gun but as he does THE MAVERICK slams the BLADE down.
THE BLADE reaches an inch from THE STRANGER'S HEART before suddenly everything goes still, as if they were frozen in a picture, THE STRANGER suddenly moving back in horror as THE RENEGADE spits out blood and stands.
THE RENEGADE
We have to hurry, this will not last very long.
THE STRANGER
Are you doing this?
THE RENEGADE
Yes, and it is consuming much of my angelic power, please we must hurry.
THE STRANGER
Let me kill him...
THE RENEGADE
You cannot kill him with those rings on, not unless you have an angelic blade at hand...
THE STRANGER
Don't you?!
THE RENEGADE
Mine was taken from me when I left heaven's ranks, now come we do not have time...
THE STRANGER
I can take him! I can take him and run him through right now!
THE RENEGADE
Touching him will disrupt the time flow, and he will easily counter and run you through. Now I will not stand here and argue, let us go now!
THE STRANGER sneers as THE GAMBLER appears with their horses, THE LONER helping THE ROGUE onto her's as THE RENEGADE jumps onto the back of THE LONER'S, as THE STRANGER straddles his and takes off, the GROUP hurrying off as the scene was frozen for moments, before THE MAVERICK stabbed down and hit nothing but dirt road.
THE MAVERICK turns about, looking about at what just happened but as he does he is suddenly surrounded by MEN, WOMEN, and CHILDREN with guns, THE MAVERICK standing up as THE OVERLORD comes over between the crowd, facing him directly.
THE OVERLORD
What say me and you have a little chat, eh?
THE MAVERICK looks about at the un winnable odds, and looking at the OVERLORD, he shrugs and smirks as he puts his angelic blade away and holds his hands up, a few men coming over and tying him up as THE OVERLORD just smirks.
