The corrupted system was the basis for the Light Spredaers and everything else that kept this Universe on a mind leash. One didn't need to be smart to guess that the galaxy where the core of the corrupted system was found must be heavily protected. Hell, the Universe owner himself appeared almost as soon as the system shard was taken away, which shows they had proper measures in place.
That said, reaching that galaxy was anything but easy. Any attempts to get close without a proper reason are bound to be intercepted. Even though Spatial Gates are considered prohibited, it was certain that the entire area around that galaxy was protected against the possibility of one appearing, too.
To make things worse, after the twins robbed the System Shard that controlled the Light Spreader, it was clear that the other Light Spreaders and the Corrupted System Core might be in danger. You can expect the defenses around all of those critical locations to be even tighter than ever before.
