Bethany stood seemingly stunned by the revelation. Millions of ideas flashed through her mind all at once. Each one crashing into her like waves generated by a hurricane crashing against the shore, powerful and unstoppable. Bethany's dream of a real, normal life was finally within reach, or at least a seemingly normal life. The knowledge of reality that now resided within her mind would never allow for her to live a completely normal life. The thought was still amazing but also saddened her in a way. The wolf that resided within her, the one she had lived in fear of all her life was also a part of her. If she asked Jacen for his blood, she knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he would not hesitate for so much as a single second, not even a nanosecond, to give it to her. But, the question remained, could she do it? It wasn't like when she accepted her father's blood. Back then, She couldn't even remember her time in her werewolf form. She didn't know what kind of effects it had on her previous wolf form. But this time she remembered, remembered everything from her first kill to gaining control of the wolf inside her the night she met Jacen, his ocean blue eyes bringing the beast to heal. In addition, Jacen's transition was violent and looked incredibly painful. His powerful new wolf seemed to have had to battled against the fox inside of him not only overtaking his body, but killing the fox and then absorbing it's essence straight out of the misty air. Would something similar happen to her? Or would her wolf simply evolve like when Jacen inhaled the essence of the fox back into himself? Would her wolf essentially die to leave room for her new transformation, or would it only grow in strength? Would a part of her have to die to be reborn? It wasn't something she was ready to decide. Not while she was already so close to finding the original werewolves and learning if there was another way to obtain this control. "Jacen, you are right, but I want to find another way. What you just went through, the transition from one species to another literally killed a piece of you. I don't know if that is something I am currently capable of doing, or surviving." Bethany said as she stared at Jacen's exhausted face that somehow despite his exhaustion somehow displayed a level of excitement that should be impossible at this point. His hand came up to Bethany's face, caressing it with such tenderness it almost brought tears to her eyes. "Bethany, it's ok, I will be ok. And we are already here in the spirit world. Once we find the lost tribe, we can check to see if they can help you in some way. In the event that they say it is impossible, for whatever reason, you can always change your mind, and I will always extend the offer. You have become more than just a girl I met at a football game Bethany. You have become my life, my purpose, my reality. Before I was destined to live my life in a glorified cage, standing ready to be a living punching bag, to be a fleshy shield for the vampires against the very kind of people I've now come to love and respect." Bethany stood, tears beginning to stream down her face, her eyes closed in rapture of the sensarity of the man whose hand gently held her face. She couldn't speak, not for a lack of words, not for a lack of trying, but for the fact that so much weight had been lifted by those words that she couldn't even competely understand the depth of her own relief. Nobody had fully understood Bethany's pain or desperation for the longest time. Nobody understood her fear. She had almost begun to believe that she was the problem, that her view of the situation was more than what it truly should have been. The guilt of having attacked that man, her fear of possibly doing it again to someone else, the fear of the sensation that caused her to loose her control for so long, even after gaining control over herself in her werewolf form, she was still forced to turn every full moon. Even if she had gained the most important thing to aliviate her fear, she still didn't have complete control of herself. It's almost like living with seizures but knowing exactly when they will stryke. You loose control of your own body, unable to do much of anything about it. But at least there was medicine for seizures. There's no medicine to keep you from turning into a massive werewolf, or at least not one that she had been able to find. Now however, she had a possible solution right infront of her and another that they were actively searching for. The idea that no matter what happened tonight, she would never have to turn against her will ever again overwhelmed Bethany and sealed her lips as though they had been welded in place. Jacen wiped the rears with his thumbs having brought his other hand up to caress the other side of her face. His touch what like fire on Bethany's skin, sending searing sensations through her cheeks and down her neck, coloring her face in a crimson radiance. Again Victor cleared his throat, making his presence abundantly clear before speaking, "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but whatever you are going to do, we need to get it done and over with quickly. I know it's hard to tell with all the glowing stuff around, but the sun will be up soon. We've been out almost the entire night." Bethany opened her eyes to see that Jacen's eyes had darken slightly with agitation but his hand remained steady as she observed how Victor always seemed to intervene at the most inopportune times. Taking a deep breath to real herself back in, Bethany began to speak, "Unfortunately, Victor is right. We do need to get moving. If the original werewolves can't do anything to help, then I will go ahead and take your blood and see what comes of the transformation. For now, we just need to see if your transformation allows you to go beyond the statue."
