( Miu's POV )
When the Kabane started to move, the Hybrid Gears tried to contain them by firing the capture nets, and although that seemed to work at first, suddenly, the nets were thrown high above where we were.
I swung my two katanas to cut the nets with wind blades, and right after that, I heard a strange roar from below us, that was something that couldn't be mistaken.
Miu: A hive.
Ikoma: What?
Sounds of something large climbing onto the rails were heard and soon a giant black creature very similar to the one we faced in the Phenex mansion appeared, the thing jumped and looked like it was going to fall on us but the two Frame Gears fired their heavy weapons and the creature was thrown against the station wall.
Miu: Saeko, tell the warriors to return to the train.
Saeko: [That'll be easy, some of them are already trembling in fear.]
Ikoma: What was that thing?
The Kabaneri boy questioned me upon seeing the dangerous and unknown creature.
Miu: a hive, an amalgamation of kabanes controlled by a special infected at the center of that thing.
After answering the boy's question, I activated my IS light armor, and mechanical parts appeared on my arms and legs and under my chest, on my back were a pair of wing-like rocket boosters divided into three sections, and around me flew drones carrying different swords.
I took off directly towards the hive, and Saeko, who was wearing the same armor as me but without the drones, flew next to me, The hive creature reached out to grab us, but Saeko and I cut off its hands with a swing of our katanas.
The arms fell to the ground, and the kabanes that formed them scattered around the place, and when they were violently separated, they were stunned for a moment, which was enough for the hybrid Gears to capture them again.
That went well, but to truly defeat this enemy we had to extract the special kabane at its center.
Miu: Clear a path for me.
Stella: [coming right away~]
The Frame Gears started firing, and with each bullet, a piece of the hive flew out, When the nucleus was exposed, I approached and began to pull the nucleus, which was a girl, out of the hive.
The creature tried to resist, causing more destruction to the station, but when I separated the girl, the creature lost its form.

With the larger enemy finished, we let the soldiers take care of clearing the rest of the station, and I returned to the train with the girl I had captured.
Even though I had given her the antivirus, she kept struggling and trying to bite, so I had to put a muzzle on her, she was in the same situation as Sakuya, so she was going to need something extra to make a full recovery.
As I approached, I saw Ayame and her faithful guard, a warrior named Kurusu, who when he saw me with the violent girl on my shoulder, put a hand on his katana.
Kurusu: Why are you bringing that creature to the Iron Fortress!
Miu: Calm down, man, she's not dangerous, as long as we feed her.
Ayame: You mean with blood.
Miu: That's right, but regular blood won't do, I need Yuuki's blood, for now, I'm going to lock her in the last car.
When I put the girl in some restraints, Sakuya appeared behind me, it seemed she had a report to give.
Sakuya: Miss Miu, about the girl Mumei, she had a private conversation with one of the survivors of this place, I heard them saying something about a young master, and the girl's mood worsened after that conversation.
Miu: and that conversation put her on the edge of choosing to finish off the Kabanes.
Sakuya: She looked desperate, do you think this young master could be a world traveler?
Miu: I don't think so, except for Ranko, all of them have tried to increase their numbers with creatures like the Kabanes, but I want to know more about this young master.
Sakuya: You want me to interrogate Mumei?
Miu: No, Ayame seems to be fond of her, she has the same destiny as us, so we will surely meet in the future.

( Yuuki's POV )
In the dorms the day before the tournament, I would normally be doing my morning exercises, but now I had a sleeping Charlotte pinning me to the bed, during the day, we couldn't act like the couple we were, so we only did that in the bedroom.
I had no problem spending my morning this way but I felt the call of nature.
Yuuki: Charl, I need to go to the bathroom, could you move?
To avoid confusion with the magical researcher also named Charlotte in our family, I gave my cute roommate the nickname Charl.
Charl: uhm I don't want to.
Charl was still half asleep and refused to move, so I put a pillow in her hands and got out of bed, but when I started doing my business, I heard someone knocking on our door and Charl's next words worried me a little.
Charl: uhm I'm coming.
Charl was not in her senses and I ran out of the bathroom to stop her but when I came out I saw the door open and Kanzashi was on the other side looking at Charl, she was wearing one of my shirts and the two things that gave away that she was a girl were almost popping out of it.
Before Kanzashi could say anything, I pulled her into our room, and we had a long discussion, In a way, it was lucky that Kanzashi was the one who discovered Charl, she is the last person I would expect to start spreading rumors around the school.
Kanzashi didn't hesitate at all when I asked her to keep Charl's secret, and while she was changing, Kanzashi and I left there and our destination was the hangar where her new unit was waiting for her.
