Chapter 10: Stanforce On The Mission
Queen Archandia's words hung in the air like a promise of hope. "The rumor is finally becoming true about your brother, King Vladimir."
King Vladimir's eyes narrowed, his senses on high alert. "Yes, Your Highness. I can feel the presence of another Sun attuned elementalist, and he's near your kingdom."
The Queen's expression turned grave. "We have our last hope to defeat Death, my King. But how is the soul stone?"
King Vladimir's face darkened. "Bad news, Your Highness. Valkyrie just reported that the soul stone is missing, and we're tracking it now. I can sense the smell of Death's return. Protect the time-stopper machine at all costs. We can't let the Corpse find it first."
Queen Archandia nodded resolutely. "I'll ensure the machine's safety and your brother's well-being. He's unaware of his capabilities, but he's the only one who can put an end to Death."
With the Queen's assurance, King Vladimir assembled the Stanforce for a critical briefing. "You're gathered here today to prepare for the biggest mission of your lives. You'll track and contain the Corpse, who are likely after the time-stopper machine."
Gregeel cracked his knuckles. "I'm hungry to take down those thugs."
King Vladimir's expression turned stern. "This isn't a fight for glory, Gregeel. It's a mission that requires strategy and caution. Adeath, I'll leave the planning to you. I trust your leadership."
Adeath nodded thoughtfully. "We'll need a solid plan to track them without risking unnecessary lives. What's the intel on the Corpse's movements?"
The King's gaze swept across his team. "I'll provide you with all the information we have. And there's one more thing – I have an older brother, and he'll be joining us soon."
The Stanforce exchanged curious glances, but the King kept his brother's abilities and significance to himself for now.
