Chapter 13 - The Son Of The Sun

Chapter 13: The Son Of The Sun

Ian, Sam, and the two Archadians finally arrived at the palace of Queen Archandia. SpecLady and ShadowGirl entered the conference room to brief the Queen on their encounter with Edge.

"Kindly take your seats, ladies," the Queen said, her expression grave. "I was alarmed by the trouble you've encountered with one of the Corpses. I'm sorry for the late reinforcements."

SpecLady and ShadowGirl took their seats, and SpecLady began to recount their encounter with Edge. "We were saved by Sir Ian Whitlock, Your Highness. He's quite powerful."

The Queen nodded, her eyes filled with a mix of concern and curiosity. "I'm glad he's safe. Now, let's discuss the ultimate secret of Chrono."

The rest of the Archadians entered the conference room, and the Queen began to reveal the history of Chrono. "Five hundred years ago, Earth and Gaia were still one world, known as Chrono. Abraham Stanford, a great warrior and leader, built an alliance to protect Chrono from harmful elements. He married Lara, and they were blessed with their eldest son, James Stanford."

As the Queen spoke, the room seemed to fade away, and the story of Abraham and James unfolded like a vision.

Abraham Stanford stood tall, his eyes burning with determination as he led his alliance against the forces of darkness. He fought bravely, his sword slicing through the shadows, but he knew he couldn't win alone. That's when he met Lara, a kind-hearted woman with a deep understanding of the elements. Together, they had James, their eldest son, and Abraham's heart swelled with pride.

But fate had other plans. James fell ill, and despite Abraham's best efforts, he couldn't save his son. Abraham was consumed by grief, and his powers began to wane. He knew he had to pass on his Sun attunement to James, but it was too late. James passed away, leaving Abraham and Lara heartbroken.

Abraham's vision faded, and the Queen continued, "Abraham had another son, Vladimir Stanford, but he was not the heir to his Sun attunement. Nobody knew that Abraham had passed his Sun abilities to James, and it was considered a mythical wizardry. Ian Whitlock, however, possesses sun abilities, and we believe he is the key to our survival."

The room fell silent, the weight of the Queen's words sinking in. SpecLady spoke up, "No wonder he has the power of healing."

The Queen nodded. "We must protect him and keep it confidential as much as we can. Death will stop at nothing to claim Ian's powers."

Jack Spark stood up, his face set with determination. "We will protect him with our lives, my Queen."

The Queen smiled, her eyes filled with gratitude. "I believe in you, Jack. Your other mission, aside from protecting Ian, is finding the time-stopper machine. We can't let the Corpse get their hands on it."

The Archadians nodded, their faces set with determination. They knew the stakes were high, but they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
