The new of Sabaody Archipelago being captured by red roses was not made public, as there were many things the government wanted to hide while increased the bounty of red rose pirates.
After a being coned by sengoku, hawk joined the marine but lost half the bounty money since marine's duty was to capture the pirates and he would only get half the amount.
