"Mm, when we got off the cruise." Summer Ford poured herself a cup of tea, took a small sip, and didn't explain any further.
Angela watched her calmly for a moment, clearly catching a patch of not-yet-dried marks on her face. She froze, then slowly swirled the teacup in her hand for quite a while before suddenly saying, "Ethan talked with me a few times before."
"Really?" Summer was startled, her face slowly lifting. "What did he say?"
Her question sounded casual, but her gaze on Angela was a little evasive. It was obvious she was more interested in anything related to Ethan Laurent than in other things.
Summer had been at the palace for some time now. Angela spent time with her every day, and when she'd set up blind dates for her before, she'd mentioned quite a few nobles.
Yet Summer never seemed particularly interested in anyone's name; her eyes were always calm and indifferent.
Except for Ethan.
Seeing her like this made Angela curve her lips in a faint smile.
