Turning his head to the side, he casually glanced into the room.
Summer Ford had her back to him, apparently standing over the stove making porridge.
Maybe she'd noticed his gaze; she turned her head, gave him a look, and said offhandedly, "By the way, I'm going to keep Mrs. Angela company today. I might come home a bit late tonight."
"What's there to keep Angela company for?" Ethan Laurent strolled in unhurriedly, leaned beside her, and stared at her quietly.
"Your mom still has a baby, Angela only has one Damian Preston!" Summer reminded him.
What she was thinking was, a mother with only one son must be pretty lonely, right?
Ethan Laurent paused for a moment.
"Actually…" He seemed about to say something when, outside, the doorbell suddenly rang.
"I'll get it!" Summer Ford slipped past him and walked out of the kitchen in a few quick steps.
