Melanie woke up and slowly sit up on the ground , she was stunned , what may have happened in there ? And that strange voice , what nonsense was it talking about ? Empty soul , spirits, nothingness ? What does it mean ?
Melanie was about to get up and retrieve Ame when she felt that something has changed , the wooden handle changed into a metallic one , and the blade seemed bigger than before .

All the skills leveled up , the Mastery Skills updated ,and new abilities appeared, Melanie was delighted, she become stronger , what a pleasant feeling. She added ten stat points in "Int" ,and the remaining five in "Sen" , As now she is a sorcerer her "Int" must be higher to increase her Mana and that of course without overlooking the other stats . Next , the element , Void , Melanie thought that the test failed to determine her element , it seems she was wrong , however , Void ,is that even an element , if it was fire or anything else , it would be clear how to use it but void ,what is that ? Also, the abilities , beside the Mana control which is understandable for a sorcerer , there is Affinity Zero , Melanie was confused , she asked the system but it didn't answer, this guy is less and less cooperative these days .
Anyway, she will learn how to use her mana sooner or later, the most important is to level up , With this thought , Melanie spent an entire day slaughtering the undead , using her Mastery Skills. Wild Wind's Claw become much faster , it could now reach an even further target than before and the effect also increased , at first it could only injure a Zombie but now it cut them instantly into two pieces . Silent Death Parade, her speed increased by 50 % each time she uses it , killing more targets and the duration also extended from ten to twenty minutes . It also becomes much harder to level up , a day of slaughtering was no longer enough to level up , so Melanie decide to explore further the Lost Land seeking to find stronger monsters , she walked for two hours while killing the monster she met on her way , until she reached what it seems to be an old tomb , the place seemed deserted , but she knew that something was lived inside , she noticed that the closer she got to the tomb the fewer the monsters she encountered , it was the same with her location , she cleared the area surrounding it and from that day onward the undead didn't dare trespassing her territory .
After observing the location for more than an hour , Melanie decided to take actions after all she got what she wanted a stronger opponent to rise her level . She got up and at full speed she dashed toward the tomb gate , but in her tracked she sensed something approaching her from above , she immediately stopped running and used her scythe to slice the unidentified object that got easily broken into two halves ,the object was in fact a wooden arrow .
Another three arrows got shot , Melanie dodged the first one , blocked the second and the third got sliced , She lifted her head toward the tomb's roof and saw a skeleton holding a bow locked at her , more arrows were shot , Melanie dodged them but when she was focused on the archer , a big skeleton swordsman wearing a heavy armor attacked her from the left , Melanie used her Wild Wind's Claw to eliminate the archer then her Silent death parade to slice the arrows midair and block the sword attack while retreating two steps back . Seeing his first attack failed the swordsman doesn't hesitate and dashed toward the Headless Sorcerer , the archer was able to avoid a fatal blow but his left arm got torn off , preventing him from shooting arrows until he healed .
The fight resumed between the two monsters , the swordsman was in the bad ending , his opponent is faster than him ,if things went on like this skeleton will be destroyed at any second . Melanie was going to end the fight when suddenly her movement got obstructed, a wall of dirt was formed between her and the skeleton and her feet got stuck in the ground , to make thing worst , a zombie appeared in her back and was about to mercilessly stab her . Melanie didn't panic , instead she stayed calm and clear minded , she suddenly squatted down and used the scythe's long handle to strike at her attacker , and it successfully fends off the dagger , before the zombie could react she destroyed the ground to freed herself and immediately turned around to finish the zombie . Another wall appeared between her and the zombie but this time she was prepared , she used her leg to leap on the wall and with only one attack she beheaded the zombie with Ame . When her feet touched the ground she immediately rushed toward tomb while slicing the newly shot arrows .
Hidden in a dark corner near the tomb a zombie wrapped in a tattered coat , observed the fight , seeing that his target was heading toward him , he quickly formed earth spears to throw them toward the opponent but too bad the latter was too fast and evaded the attack without stopping race , the zombie create a sturdier and taller wall to defend himself , however it got demolished with two long range attacks and a direct one from the scythe. Melanie was about to behead the robed zombie when suddenly a shadow rushed toward her , she used her scythe as a support to turn her body and kick the shadow away before slicing the zombie .
"Ahhhhh" a piercing cry resounded all over the place "No, no , my earth mage ! Noooo…. Two years of hard work gone for nothing …..sob….why life is so cruel with me ?....sob…" The person who is crying was the shadow that rushed to stop Melanie , however, it was not a human but a robed skeleton .
Melanie was stunned , it's the first time she met a monster capable of talking , and even more important is that she could understand every word it spoke .
