Chapter 27 - saitama fanfic from archive chapter 1

Saitama, an average guy who was a hero for fun, looked down at the letter he had received in the mail earlier today.

Dear Saitama,

You are cordially invited to a special viewing of events that are to take place in the near future.

I know that it sounds strange, but it is indeed true.

The viewing is free, along with free refreshments.

I have written the address on the back of this letter.

The time of the viewing will start at 3:00 P.M. today.

I do hope that you arrive before then.

I'll be waiting to greet you.

Sincerely, Z.

P.S. Please come in your hero costume.

The bald hero looked up from the letter to see an average looking building located in the middle of City-Z. It had no special qualities about it, save that it matched the address written on the letter. That, and there was someone holding a large sign with his name on it standing in front of the building.

They were a young man in his late teens. He had blue eyes and had long black hair that covered his right eye and a small ponytail in the back. He wore a simple black sleeveless top, dark green cargo pants with a small wallet chain in the right front pocket, black high top converse sneakers, black fingerless biker gloves, spiked wristbands, and a spiked choker.

"Are you the one who sent this letter?" Saitama asked the man as he approached him, the letter in his right hand.

"You made it!" the man said with a grin before shaking Saitama's free hand. "Nice to meet you, Saitama! I'm so glad you came!"

"Uh, thanks?" Saitama said while the man shook his hand. "Who are you? What's all this about some viewing?"

"In time, Saitama." the man said before pulling out a pocket watch and looking to see it was 2 minutes to the intended time. "For now, why not come inside and relax? There are a few others that have arrived earlier, and many others still to come. When they're all here, we can begin." he said as he lead Saitama inside, bouncing with each step like a kid on Christmas. "Gonna be fun~ Gonna be fun~"

"If you say so. Hey, are those refreshments really free?" Saitama asked as they walked down a hallway to a set of double doors, concerned that one of the major reasons he came here would be a joke.

"Indeed they are. And don't worry. They're not cheap food unless you want them to be." the man explained before opening the doors.

"What?" Saitama asked before seeing a few people inside. One was a man with a bulbous nose with gray hair and wearing a suit. Another was a large and very fat man eating a chicken leg with one hand and holding what looked like a large bucket like container with the other. Another looked like an elderly man with spiked white hair, thick white eyebrows, a small white mustache, and stood with a slight hunch. He was also writing something in a small book before handing it to the final person, who was a little boy with big lips and a bald spot in his hair.

"There you go." the elderly man said with a smile while the boy looked at the page the older man had written on.

"I got Pig God and Silverfang's autographs!" the little boy whispered in joy, tears in his eyes before turning towards the mystery teen. "And you said I may have a chance to get all the other heroes autographs too?!"

"You got it, Tareo!" the man said while giving him a thumbs up.

"That's if they show." the man in the suit said. "And even if they don't, I do hope that you'll explain what was so urgent that I come here."

"The letter I sent you said it was to help the Hero Association with future events. Don't worry, Mr. Sitch. All will be explained." the man said before handing Saitama a bucket that looked like the one Pig God was holding.

"What's this?" Saitama asked as he looked it over.

"Quick! Without thinking! If you could have any food in the world, what would it be?!" the man frantically yelled.

"What? Um...udon?" Saitama answered.

"Then enjoy!" the man said, looking calm with a big grin. Saitama blinked before steam rose out of the bucket he was holding. He looked down to see that it had suddenly filled with udon, much to his surprise.

"Whoa!" Saitama said in mild surprise as he took the chopsticks that were sticking out of the udon and took a bite. "Hey, that's pretty good. How'd you make that appear?"

"All in good time." the mystery man said before a loud ringing started to come out of his pocket. He took the pocket watch he had earlier out and looked at it to see that it was now 3 on the dot, making him frown. "Aww. None of the others showed up."

"Not surprising, considering their personalities." the old man said while the boy looked sad, his hope of meeting the other heroes dashed.

"Shame. Guess I have to force my hand." the mystery teen sighed. Without warning, his eyes turned white before a white aura surrounded his body. Saitama was the only one who didn't react to this, nor to the room they were in suddenly expanding into a small theater, complete with empty chairs.

"W-What's going on?!" Tareo shrieked.

"Don't worry. I just needed to make some room is all." the teen answered while holding up one hand before snapping his fingers, sending a wave of energy rushing towards the chairs. As it hit the chairs, figures began to appear and fill them out until all the seats were filled with confused and angry people, most of which Sitch, Silverfang, and Pig God knew.

Most of Class-S aside from Blast, Class-A's Amai Mask, Class-B's Blizzard of Hell, many of the Hero Association Executives and Special Committee members, a blond cyborg, and a ninja.

"Hey! Where am I?!"

"What's going on here?!"

"Is this a movie theater?"

These and other questions came from those who suddenly appeared before they began to notice those who had arrived before them.

"Sitch!" said a HA executive by the name of Sekingar. "What's going on here?! Where are we?!"

"I...uh..." was all Sitch got out, too stunned at the moment from the minor display of power he just witnessed.

"Somebody better tell us why we're here! Now!" demanded the Class-S hero, Tornado of Terror, her power flaring and the room beginning to shake.

"Well since everyone's now here, I'll explain." said the mystery man, who was now floating before them all in front of the theater screen.

"Huh? Who are you?" asked Child Emperor.

"I am a cosmic entity! One of many who have been given the task of watching over worlds in existence!" the teen proclaimed while dramatically posing before standing straight and smiling. "Call me-Stop!"

Without warning, Speed o' Sound Sonic and Flashy Flash appeared frozen in the air in front of the teen claiming to be a cosmic entity. Both had drawn their blades, but Flash's was aimed to stop Sonic's, which was poised to strike at the teen's neck.

"What?!" Sonic grunted. "I...can't move!"

"Mind not doing that?" the teen asked before flinging both of them back into their seats, with Sonic being heavily restrained. "Now, where was I? Cosmic entity. Tasked with watching worlds. Oh yeah!" he said before smiling at them all. "Call me Zack!"

"Zack? What kind of name is Zack for a 'cosmic entity?'" Tornado scoffed.

"I don't know. What kind of people name their daughters Tornado and Blizzard?" a second Zack asked after popping up behind her, surprising them all and making them look between the two Zacks.

"How are there two of you? Twins?" Darkshine asked.

"Could be triplets." a third Zack said from where he was standing next to the wall.

"Or quadruplets." a forth chimed in after jumping out of Tareo's book, spooking the child.

"Or!"

"Oc!"

"Tup!"

"LEEEETS!" four more sang from on the screen, all dressed up as a barbershop quartet.

"So what do you think?" asked a ninth Zack while all the others vanished.

"...I think I'm dreaming." said one of HA executives.

"A normal response. I assure you, however, that you're not." Zack said with a shrug.

"Oh yeah? Prove it!" Metal Bat demanded.

"If you insist." Zack said before the room filled with a blinding light. Everyone took a moment to let the light fade and look around before jumping in shock.

Zack had changed from that of a teen to a humanoid being made of energy. The theater had been replaced with an endless expanse filled with billions of little specks everywhere around them.

"What in the world? What are these?" King asked.

"Those are worlds." Zack answered as he stood before King, his voice sounding like it echoed around them. He took a random one and held it between his hands before throwing it forward, causing it to expand above all of their heads, show their planet from what it would look like from space. "And this one is the world that you all reside in."

"Really?" Saitama asked as he looked around. "So are all of these different planets in space?"

"Yes and no." Zack answered before bringing a cluster of worlds forward and having them enlarge and shrink one after the other, showing different land formations on them all. "Each of these worlds are the same as yours, but so different at the same time. Each one changed by either something major, like a world where the Hero Association never came into existence, or something minor, such as a simple choice to buy either whole wheat or white bread. Endless possibilities. Endless worlds."

"And you watch all these...worlds...on your own?" asked one of the HA executives.

"Just the cluster of worlds surrounding us at the moment. There are far more worlds out there, and they are watched by others like me." Zack answered before light filled the room again. It faded to show their were back in the theater, with Zack looking like a teen again.

"Hmm. What you've said and shared with us sounds rather fascinating." said Bofoi, a.k.a. Metal Knight.

"Still, it does sound rather strange." said Amai Mask. "A cosmic entity showing up and claiming that they want to show us the future. For what purpose would you do all this for?"

"Mostly it's because I'm bored. After all, I just stand around and watch your worlds go by while more are created later on." Zack answered as he floated above them all again. "But it is also interesting to see what those I show their world to react with the information they receive from watching."

"You sound like you've done this before." Zombieman said.

"I have. Many times." Zack grinned while acting like he was relaxing in the chair. "Now, any other questions before we begin? Raise your hand if you do."

"I have one." Sitch said while raising his hand and standing up.

"Ask away."

"How long will this viewing be?" he asked.

"Quite a while, so get comfy." Zack laughed.

"You sound like we're all prisoners in here." said Puri Puri Prisoner.

"You can look at it that way. Door's not locked, but I don't recommend going through it." Zack warned.

"Why's that?" Pig God asked through his food. A snap of Zack's fingers opened the door, revealing an endless white void.

"Because there's nothing out there at the moment, so walking out will have you falling in an endless void for all eternity." Zack answered before he appeared next to the doors and shut them. "Next question."

"Where's Blast?" Tornado demanded.

"Who knows? Maybe he's here and just invisible. Maybe he's watching from a separate room. Or maybe his strength is so great that even I couldn't bring him here." Zack answered with a shrug. "Any others?"

"Why exactly did you choose us?" Watchdog Man asked while raising his hand/paw.

"Most of you can do something to change the events that you will see. Some are here because I felt like bringing them here. Like Sonic over there." Zack answered while gesturing to the restrained ninja before continuing." And some of you will have impacts on events in the future." he said before popping up next to Tareo. "Like this little kid here."

"Wha-Me?! An impact?!" Tareo asked while pointing at himself.

"Yep yep yep. You!" Zack nodded with a grin. "Any other questions?"

"I have one." Atomic Samurai spoke up while raising his hand before pointing his thumb at Saitama. "Which category does that guy fall under?"

"Ah yes! Saitama! That's an excellent question!" Zack said with a laugh. "He has the biggest impact of all! He's also the guest of honor!"

Saitama just looked at all the multiple Zack's dancing around him, throwing confetti and blowing party streamers around him.

"Him? Really?" Amai Mask asked with a skeptical look.

"Who is he? He doesn't look like much." Genos said while scanning Saitama.

"Looks can be deceiving." Zack answered, his vision filling up Genos's scans. "Look around this room. Some of these people don't look like much other."

"Like Tornado here." said a small Zack that was on Tornado's left shoulder. "No one would think at first glance that she is an Esper who could twist an entire city's landmass with but a thought."

"Isn't that a bit of an exaggeration?" one HA executive laughed. The laughter stopped when Tornado merely looked over her shoulder at him and gave a small smile.

"Any other questions before we begin?" Zack asked as he floated above them all.

"I got one!" said another Zack while covering his mouth with one hand and holding up Tareo's hand with the other, making the kid freak out.

"You do? What is it?" the floating Zack asked.

"Can I have all the heroes autographs?" the other Zack asked.

"Huh! Wait! Stop!" Tareo yelped in panic.

"What? You wanted to ask, but weren't saying anything." Zack huffed before the one next to Tareo vanished, leaving the kid alone as everyone stared at him. The poor boy trembled where he stood before Amai Mask approached with a friendly smile.

"I'll give you one." he said before taking the book and marker the kid had.

"R-Really?!" Tareo asked while the superstar hero wrote his hero name before turning to the other heroes.

"Come on, guys. Don't dash the kids dreams." he urged from the others. Some were reluctant or didn't care. Others were more than happy to. Either way, it didn't matter, because after a few moments, Tareo became the owner of almost all of the Class-S heroes autographs and both top ranking heroes of Class A and B.

"...this is the best day of my life!" Tareo whimpered in joy as he hugged the book.

While they had all been signing, Zack vanished and spoke to another individual, whom had been in a seat in a slightly shifted dimension, watching them all but unable to interact with them.

"You sure you don't want to come out and watch with the others?" the teen asked the man in a super hero outfit.

"No. I'm fine here." he answered, earning a shrug from Zack. "And you're sure they can't see me?"

"Yeah." Zack nodded before looking towards Saitama, who was looking right at the two. "Except for him. How? Three words. He's that strong."

"I can see that." the man chuckled before looking towards the screen. "Still, I did come to see these events you said would unfold."

"And see you shall. Talk to you later, Blast." Zack said before reappearing next to them all, but put his finger to his lips and faced Saitama, telling him to not say a word.

"ALRIGHT!" Zack shouted, gaining their attention. "Now before we do begin, let me explain a few things. If too much talking happens, the viewing will pause so that you won't miss anything. If you need to use the bathroom, they're over there."

Everyone turned to see two doors next to each other in the nearby wall, one saying MEN and the other saying WOMEN.

"As for those refreshments I promised?" Zack said before snapping his fingers, making similar buckets and paper cups appear in front of everyone. "These are enchanted to have any food or drink you want to eat appear. Just think it, and it'll happen. And before you all ask how, I'll simply just answer magic. Got it?" he asked, earning nods from everyone. "Great!" he yelled before the lights dimmed and he took a seat behind all of them. "Now, let's watch!"
