The corridor quieted down.
At the corner Chuzheng hadn't seen, a man sat there, holding a wine bottle in his arms, his fingers stained with blood, motionless.
After an indeterminate amount of time, the man moved slightly.
He staggered to his feet, walked out of the shadows, and slowly approached the dead body.
He kicked it lightly.
The body remained motionless, and the man staggered downstairs.
Shortly after he left, a group of people rushed up.
"Dead?"
"Dead."
"Ah, what a pity. If he were alive, we could've gotten some information out of him. Take care of it first, don't alert anyone."
"How many is this now? Who's bored enough to hunt down these vicious fugitives?"
"The fifth one, right?"
"This is the sixth one."
"Stop chatting and speed it up."
The group quickly cleaned the surrounding area thoroughly.
The corridor soon returned to its pristine state, without even a trace of blood scent.
