"What? Is His Majesty truly going to establish an Empress? Who is Xia Weibao, why have I never heard of this person before?"
"You don't know Xia Weibao? She's the woman His Majesty brought back this time from his incognito tour, it's said she's a Jianghu woman."
"A Jianghu woman? Has His Majesty gone mad, making someone from Jianghu the Empress! What place does this leave those of us noble-born concubines?"
"Shh, lower your voice, are you looking for death? Isn't Consort Lan's lesson enough?"
"No matter her status, His Majesty favors her, appoints her as Empress, what can you do about it, if you have the guts, go oppose in front of His Majesty..."

They have been in the palace for several years, yet they don't even know what His Majesty looks like, and they still vainly dream of competing for the position of Empress.
