[Grandora City, Medical City Area]
Fear, anxiety, hesitation, that was the feelings that Richard felt as he opened his briefcase and took out the weapon that brings back bad memories. Everytime he tried to pick up his dual gunblade, he couldn't help but remember the massacre that had happened in the Antarctica.
The way his colleague die, the way the soldiers scream, the way their back up got destroyed, and the way his team members got killed one after another. He was basically traumatized.
However he knew that if he don't pick up his weapon again, the tragedy that he saw in Antarctica would repeat itself and this time the blade of death will aim for the harmless innocent civilians.
If people who can fight like them already died pitifully against the enemies, how much more pitiful would it look if the enemy massacre the people who practically can't protect themselves.
He needed to snap out, he should have expected this. This career as an agent of the chaos breaker tends to have its member die in the war to reclaim their world. This was a natural phenomenon in this line of work. However Richard never considered that his team would be wiped out in the advent of this war, so this came as a shock for him.
He had been I deep thought all this time, after all he is filled with regret as he remembered his team's death. That is the reason why he never talked to anyone in the duration of his recovery.
This time faced with a choice, Richard broke a tear, as he pushed pass his trauma and faced the very enemy who killed his team.
At this very moment, the squad of soldiers is slowly backing away from Diez while raining him with bullets in order to widen their gap from the dangerous enemy.
Unfortunately no matter how much coordinated their team is, there will always be a flaw on their formation as they continued to move away from the enemy.
With that said one of the soldier in the group suddenly emptied their load and planned to reload, with no one to cover him at all. During that gap, Diez didn't waste any time at all as he quickly rushed towards the soldier during that gap and planted his sycthe directly towards the soldiers throat before he could even finish his reload.
Upon seeing this, one of the soldier cussed out at Diez as he aimed his gun at him, only to have his first few shots to miss its target, before Diez suddenly swung his sycthe towards the soldier.
Surprisingly the soldier manage to react on time and dodge the attack, forcing Diez to change his maneuver and smacked the soldiers head u to the wall with a double kick. Due to that the soldiers head popped like a balloon the moment the impact hit the soldiers head.
With two deaths in her squad, the squad captain simply clicked her tongue as she threw a smoke grenade at Diez before manually causing it to explode by firing at the grenade.
The moment the whole hallway was filled with smoke, the squad captain then threw in two more grenade as one is a flashbang to stun Diez while the other was a Klein grenade that would catch the enemy off guard.
Just like that a huge explosion rung one as a huge portion of the hospital was destroyed and obliterating everything in its path.
Unfortunately Diez manage to saw through their tricks as he quickly jumped out of the window the moment the smoke filled the room causing the flashbang and Klein grenade to miss their target.
However due to this, they somehow succesfully widen the gap, making it hard for Diez to kill them all.
After awhile all the hospital residents and the remaining squad finally arrived at the rooftop, as the soldiers were slowly losing their focus due two of their team members death.
"Damn it! This is no war, this is a massacre"
"No! Your wrong this is war, it's just that our opponent is just too strong that none of us could handle it"
"But captain! Us ordinary soldiers are powerless against type of enemy... why didn't the organization put some agents to guard this place?"
"Because they can't afford to send some agents here... I just received a report, the enemy is directing their main force at the headquarters... with such a huge army coming directly at our base of operation, the organization gathered all the agents that aren't in combat towards the center in order to defend from the attack"
"Are you telling us that we are on our own here?"
"I'm afraid so"
Hearing the frustration in their voices, Richard then blended into the crowd as he waited for the opportune tome when he can see the gap in Diez defenses.
At the same time the hospital residents were becoming drowned in despair as they were Luke cornered rats. They thought they would be safe at the top of the hospital building, but what greeted them up there wasn't the blue sky, but rather the war happening between the skywhales and jet fighters zooming across the battlefield.
Alongside it the squad captain kept contacting for carrier to pick up the hospital residents however due to the threat of the skywhales, no carriers were willing to take the risk of flying their transport. This in turn just made the situation dire.
In that moment while everyone was in despair, a laugh can be heard, as Diez cuts down the door to the rooftop with his sycthe like a paper, as he walked out and chuckled an eerie laugh that even made the infants cry.
Upon seeing him, the remaining squad members aimed their weapon at him, as they tried to protect the citizens behind their back.
"What's this? I thought you guys had a planto evacuate the residents I the rooftop? Why is everyone here then? Have you guys been abandoned?"
"Shut up you monster! Because of you, I lost a lot of precious people in my life... if only your kind didn't invade our world... I hate you down to our bones"
"Why are you mad? Are you made because we're trying to take your world from you? But isn't it natural for the string to conquer the weak? Simply put if your weak, you have no right to live"
"You bastard"
From there the tension just kept growing.
