Li Jei's world went into a total black for a second. Luckily, his senses went back right away. He thought he was prepared for what her girlfriend would say to him. But he was wrong. When she calmed down, she told him everything, not leaving any detail from him. While she was telling her this he just held her hand. "Li Jei I do not want to leave this place, leave school and of course I don't want to be away from you. We just started our relationship and parting from you is really hard for me." She started to cry again. He comforted her and said, "I understand what you're going through. Please don't be sad about it too much. Just think about this as a great chance for your family to start all over again and I don't want to stop you from doing this because of us. I mean we could still call and text each other everyday. I want you to fulfill your dreams for you and your family." Rest assured that I am here for you no matter what. We could just visit each other if there is a chance. I will not let go Zhang Lei, I promise. Even if we are far apart I'm always be here waiting for you." He smiled reassuringly to her and hugged her. Even though he was devastated about being apart with Zhang Lei he wanted the best for her. If it takes being far away from each other to fulfill those dreams, he was willing to sacrifice.
It took a while for Zhang Lei to calm down and understand what Li Jei was trying to say. He was a great guy and selfless one. "I'm blessed to have you in my life. Thank you for being my strength." They hugged again and Li Jei kissed her forehead. "So we have to make the most of our time left together then. No more crying okey?" Zhang Lei nodded. "I'll take you home." She did not let him explain what happened. She just jump to conclusions right away. Blinded by anger and sadness, she decided right then and there to forget about him. Which was the hardest to do.
