"Come on Law, hurry up. If we're late, we'll only get the leftover's or the meatloaf." Suzanne complained dragging Law behind her while running as quick as her little legs would take her.
"I'm coming, stop dragging me" Law huffed, not liking how he was being dragged along like a ragdoll.
'Why the hell is she so strong, or is it that I'm weak?' Law thought to himself as they entered the mess hall. There were around 200 other kids in the small orphanage that both he and Suzanne were a resident of. She quickly pulled him to a small table that was currently empty and happily started to blabber about her day. As the orphanage filled up, he quickly realized that no one else was going to sit with them and that they were being avoided. Some of the other kids even forced themselves, into other already crowded tables, just that they wouldn't have to sit with Law and Suzanne.
'What the hell is happening' Law thought as he noticed that there was no change in Suzanne's expression who acted as If this was normal. The matrons at the orphanage didn't even bat an eye at their treatment and went about their day not even noticing the pairs isolation. Even when they were lined up to get food, they were given a wide space, as if they were infected with a deadly disease. Although none of the adults treated them differently than the other children, they didn't try and discourage the behavior of the other children as well.
"Suzanne do you know why everyone is avoiding us," Law asked as they were halfway through their dinner. His questions caused Suzanne's eyes to widen, and for her to look away. Noticing that she didn't want to say anything Law changed the topic, causing Suzanne to give him a grateful look.
The next few days passed exactly how their dinner had. None of the other children interacted with them when they were together, but as soon as Lawrence was alone, they would approach him. They had heard of his memories loss and decided to warn him about Suzanne, constantly telling him that he should avoid her. He wasn't able to learn the reason for her isolation because the matrons had forced everyone to keep quiet about it and enforced quickly and efficiently. Lawrence decided to ignore them and continued to be a friend to Suzanne, despite earning the ire of the other children.
Whenever Law had free time, he was either playing with Suzanne or inside his mindscape finishing his speed-reading technique. Time moved around 2 times faster in his mindscape, but it still took Law 2 days of real-time to finish his compiling his perfect speed-reading technique.

It was a basic technique, but it was an extremely useful technique, that would make compiling his other techniques easier.
- Time-Skip 2 Months –
'Time flies' Law thought as walked through the local park. The head matron had decided to take a group of around 50 "well-behaved" kids to the local park as a treat. Well, well-behaved as in doesn't cause a ruckus and does the chores they are assigned properly. Within that group of both Law and Suzanne since they were each other's only friend, and both were mature enough to act responsibly and finish their tasks,
In the past 2 months, a lot had happened both good and bad. One of the main things that happened was Lawrence learning the reason why the kids avoided Suzanne like the plague.
During one of the break sessions, one of the older girls came up to both of them and started yelling at Suzanne, telling her to stay away from Lawrence before she killed him as well. Her outburst caused Suzanne to quickly get up and run away while crying. At that moment Law felt a rage, that he never experienced in his past life. Although he had only known Suzanne for a short amount of time, Law had already considered her to be his younger sister.
He quickly stood up from where he was sitting and slapped the older girl across the face as hard as a 5-year-old could. He cursed at her, before running off trying to find his weeping sister. He found her crying inside her room, under the cover of her bed and began comforting her promising to never leave her alone. Lawrence soon learned that the reason why all the children avoided her was that they believed her to a cursed.
She was born to a couple of Asian parents for immigrating to America named Emily and David Chan. From what she could remember their love for her was immense, but because a drunk driver left was left alone. She was then taken by her aunt and uncle who lived in Queen's, but a house fire and resulted in being orphaned once again.
Thus, she was constantly bullied with Lawrence being her only friend. But, when Lawrence was injured by a stray soccer ball, every one of the children began to avoid her, believing that any interactions with her would lead to them getting hurt. Even with the matron's assurance that she wasn't cursed none of the other children wanted anything to do with. Thus, she believed that when Law learned of her past, he would leave her as well. Thus, Law swore to her on the Heaven's that no matter what he would never abandon her; his little sister.
After that day both of them had been much closer, and she was always with him whenever she had the chance. She had lost all the reservations she had for him and became even cheerier than she had been before. She became marvel's version of Ruby. He had even given Suzanne a slightly improved version of Nuwa's painting so that she could improve her memory and gain the ability to have two memory partitions. He had given it to her after she promised to never share the information and didn't even ask him where he obtained it.
Moving on, despite her change in behavior cutting into Law's free time, he still managed to read all the soul strengthening techniques and managed to compile a technique that he instantly started to use.
[Chaotic Order Soul Strengthening technique
A paradoxical technique that uses all types of energy to refine the soul and increase its strength immensely. The person who uses this technique will be able to master all heavenly law's without sustaining any damage from opposing elements. The user gains an eidetic memory and gains access to multiple memory partitions that increase with the user's soul strength. This technique is special in that it allows for the user to gain Soul Sight (Author's note: Essentially eagle vision from ACII, but with souls)

Through the use of the technique, Lawrence had not yet gained access to eidetic memory, and multiple memory partitions, but he knew that was only a matter of time. Lawrence had decided to wait until he had multiple memory partitions so that he could begin compiling his cultivation techniques which would require him to read an immense amount of cultivation books.
He had also decided against calling from his soul bound ring because he didn't know if he could vanish it later and he didn't yet require the resources and energy that was within it. Law didn't want anyone trying to take the ring from him because even if that was impossible, it would still probably attract more attention than he wanted at this point. Law had also tried to use the second true magic when he was alone and, in his room, and found that because of the weak bodily strength and lack of internal energy, he could only teleport a maximum of 3 meters before he knocked himself out.
"Big Brother stop zoning out. We supposed to be having fun, stop daydreaming" Suzanne yelled in his ear bringing him back to reality.
"Yeah, yeah sorry about that now, where are we," Law asked looking around, noticing that they weren't in the park anymore. They were near a couple of tall grey apartment complexes.
"You just kept walking like an idiot, and no matter how much I called out to you, you were too zoned out. The park is back there, come on let's hurry and go back before we get in trouble, you idiot. I'm getting grounded for you being an idiot again." Suzanne said annoyed at her air-headed big brother.
"Ahhh, let's go, if we run, we'll maybe make it back before anyone notices," said hoping that they wouldn't get in trouble. The last time he got in trouble he was forced to clean all the dishes by himself, it wasn't a fun experience.
Just as they were about to leave, they heard someone crying a few feet away. They quickly shared a look before deciding to investigate the noise. They quietly turned the corner entering one of the apartments complexes and sitting on a bench behind a couple of bushes was a woman crying by herself. Lawrence decided that this just wasn't his problem and decided to leave yet before he could Suzanne had already begun approaching the lady. Concerned about his little sister possibly being hurt Lawrence quickly ran after her, but he was too late, and Suzanne was already in front of the crying lady.
"Are you okay ma'am?" Suzanne asked with childish innocence, just as Lawrence arrived beside her.
The lady looked up from her weeping and looked at the two children in front of her. She quickly wiped her eyes and put on a fake smile. Lawrence was stunned by her appearance, she had beautiful crimson hair and the same bright purple eyes that Law had.
"I'm fine, thank you for asking. My name is Lissandra Napier, but you can call me Liz. I haven't seen you two before in this apartment complex, I would've remembered such adorable children." She said smiling at them kindly causing both of them to blush but for different reasons. Suzanne blushed because she was called adorable, and Law because she kind-hearted smile reminded him of something.
