"Can you do me a favor, Meadow?"
"Of course! Anything for you, En, the savior of my people, and the Lord of~."
"Relax, Meadow, there's no need to always bring up my past accolades, however, since you said yes... could you impart your knowledge and understanding of the term "spirit" into this infinity symbol for me? Along with a technique to cultivate and absorb spiritual energy?" asked Enoch politely after he finished molding the pillar of light into a glowing gray symbol of infinity.
That was made of tiny, compacted symbols of eternity, matter, creation, destruction, and nothingness. Additionally, if one looked closely, they would notice that the symbol had empty sections that spiraled across its surface like a serpent coiling around a branch, which could be filled with a multitude of varying concepts, laws, etc.
"No problem," replied Meadow with a smile, without a thought, as she took the symbol and imbued it with a lifetime of her own experiences and knowledge of this term, "spirit."
Something, every fairy, spirit, and any creature that uses soul essence to function and thrive is still seeking the meaning of. Considering that every path, whether abstract, metaphysical, or even physical, no matter its starting point... has no end, only a wall that people never breach or even reach.
Due to a lack of devotion and drive to seek the end of their path.
For every path has a beginning, but an end, is something only the author or reader can decide...
"Done!" shouted Meadow in excitement as the infinity symbol began to glow with a darkish green color before transitioning back to gray.
"Thank you, Meadow," smiled Enoch as he flickered the infinity symbol into the void beyond his abode, where it began to shine like a star before turning into a bolt of lightning and merging with Rin silently.
Bringing an end to Pharaoh's trip to the Star Realm and, along with that, Rin's need to rely on a suspicious friend for help...
***
A day later...
After a brief exchange with Varick concerning the great upheavals that followed his death and Rin's birth within the Cosmos, Pharaoh at last departed the Star Realm, returning to the quiet isolation of Rin's cell.
"Hmm, so today's our last day locked up in this boring cell?" muttered Pharaoh with a yawn, released out of boredom and tiredness from doing nothing, but meditating and gazing at the wall like a psycho.
"So do you have any plans for once you leave, kid?" Bob asked after overhearing Pharaoh's mutterings.
"Huh?" Pharaoh said in surprise, as he didn't expect anyone to be up at this hour.
"Oh, I remember you, weren't you the one who tried to drill some sense into that now dead guy, Zinc's head?" He asked as he sat up and gazed at Bob, who was sitting in the cell across from him.
"... yes, that would be me," replied Bob with a nod, "However, while Zinc may be dead, could you please speak with some resemblance of respect for the dead, young man?"
He asked politely with hope, for while Zinc Gravenor wasn't a good man by any standard of mortality, in the end, he was still a person with a life and a soul of his own. So that should at least count for something in a world where people rise and fall like maggots and death is something common to all existence.
"Sorry, but an old friend of mine forbade me such nonsense as they used to claim, 'The living hold no communion with the dead; therefore, speak carefully of those who yet breathe, and speak freely of the dead, for they are beyond both praise and consequence.' So, while unfortunately, at the minimum, I think for now I'll stop talking about him, would that be fine, Bob?"
Pharaoh smiled as he gazed into Bob's eyes, glimpsing a fragmented soul held together by strings of gold and ivory. That radiated a crimson light once Bob heard Pharaoh's promise to stop talking about his friend.
"Of course, and do forgive me for placing you in such a situation," Bob said, even though he couldn't hide the smile spreading across his face.
"Don't worry about it," Pharaoh replied with a laugh as a thought crossed his mind, 'For who's to say, I can't just ask Death to erase his soul and put an end to his pitiful existence? But, then again, what would be the fun in that...'
He thought with a chuckle as he watched Bob's soul intently for any sign that might explain why it existed in such a fractured state.
"So, since we got that out of the way, kid, what do you truly plan todo once you leave this place?" Bob asked once again.
"Hmm, good question, old timer... well, if I'm to be honest, kill myself," replied Pharaoh nonchalantly with a shrug as if he had said something that wasn't concerning by any means.
"HUH? WHAT DID YOU SAY!" shouted Bob, waking up the entire floor in the process as he abruptly stood up and dashed toward the bars of his cell so that he could get a good look at Rin's face.
To determine whether his words were true or merely a cruel jest meant to drive him away from matters that were none of his concern.
"BOB! Can't you see we're trying to sleep here?" An inmate down the hall shouted as he banged the wall of his cell in frustration.
"Bro, what is all this noise for? Can't you two lovers exchange letters another time, and in a quieter fashion?" said a younger inmate with a yawn as they sat up to see what all this commotion was.
"It seems not, Paul, but I assure you once morning hits... I wouldn't be surprised if we see them shower together." A female inmate giggled as she leaned against the wall and twirled her hair.
"Can you all just shut up and head back to sleep already?! And you two, please get some shut-eye and continue this nonsense at breakfast." An older inmate with a missing eye said without giving anyone a chance to say anything, as he released his killing intent.
Causing everyone on the floor to shut up and return to slumber, as one wanted to provoke the old timer and receive an unnecessary beating.
'Hmm... so, it seems, the rumors weren't false after all, even Peak True Gods are caged here,' thought Pharaoh with a grin as he let the old timer have his fun for now, as he went to bed as well.
"... just who are you, truly, Rin Kurama Jasper?" The old timer muttered with intrigue before sighing, dropping the subject, as there was no point in picking a fight with the Kurama Family.
And with that, silence entered once again on the top floor of Obisidand Vault...
