Chapter 202 - Setting the Foundation for Star Body V

"Tsk, some way to treat an old friend," muttered Pharaoh with frustration.

Considering that Varick did nothing to remove the energy he cast into the cluster of stars some time ago.

"Oh, shut up! You big crybaby and focus on the task at hand! Before everything you did ends up being pointless," shouted Varick.

'Sigh, why of all times, must you return, Pharaoh... is it true that the end times are upon us?' wondered Varick as he remembered hearing people say that the first prophecy was coming to fruition.

During the last Galactic Conference, following the recent fulfillment of a few ancient prophecies, the rise of new legends, and the death of a couple of old relics, thought to be immortal.

Coincidentally, at a time like this, wherein serpents and sleeping dragons roamed as new and old Kings arose, while Queens clashed for Supremacy. All in pursuit of acquiring the Throne of Origin, a myth older than time, of an artifact that could grant anyone who found it authority over the Cosmos.

Yet no matter how many people sought it or claimed to have glimpsed its appearance, no one has ever acquired it. But with the way things are going… maybe it is time someone finally sat upon that primordial throne once again.

"Tsk, just why must I always be the one to be placed in the middle of this bullshit?" Varick muttered with irritation as he kept a close eye on Pharaoh.

Who was quickly adjusting to the new pressure as the forty-nine stars surrounding him began to revolve like planets in a solar system, with Rin becoming their Sun. As the faint outline of a six-pointed star appeared above Rin's head, radiating a dim yet fluorescent neon light as it spun ever so slowly like a musical ballerina box.

Causing the very air around Pharaoh to tremble as reality rippled with fleeting tears in space, which opened and sealed themselves in quiet succession. At the same time, a resonant hum filled the dimension—too pure to be an angel's hymn, yet too cruel to be anything but a demon's cackle. Yet, with every slow revolution of the six-pointed star, the sound rose and fell like a cosmic breath.

As Solaris and faint traces of another energy were pulled into the six-pointed star like moths to a flame, leading to the star transforming into a near replica of the Star of David as time unfurled and its presence grew more majestic and defiant.

Until a pillar of light composed of seven colors exploded from the six-pointed star and shot into the firmament. Bypassing the Star Realm's defenses and even the barrier surrounding the Cosmos as it traveled to an area unreachable by common means.

To a place beyond Time and Space known as ????, home to the first child to awake after Chaos occurred and Creation took place.

"Hmm, so you've returned to my brother, and this time, more mysterious and rebellious than ever before." A kid, not older than ten, with multicolored hair and eyes that shifted between darkness and light with every blink, whispered as they wore a suit of prismatic armor and a smile that spelled mischief.

That graced their porcelain face as they sat upon a throne made of crystals that flickered with shifting pulses of light. Some, which could spell the end of an epoch, while others were too gentle to harm a fly. Yet no matter how docile or catastrophic they may seem, they all submitted to the will of a kid, a being who governed a fragment of reality.

A fragment that held dominion over the seven building blocks of creation: earth, fire, water, wind, light, darkness, and spirit, elements that arrived after creation's existence, yet were now inseparable from its handiwork.

"Now, just what shall I do with you, Fragment of Sheol?" The kid wondered as it gazed at the pillar of light, which entered its domain with mild interest. Before stretching out its hand, summoning the pillar closer to its eye to get a better inspection of what its brother had done now.

Sometime later...

"... oh, well, isn't this a surprise?" the kid muttered, eyes lighting up like fireworks, after watching a recap of his brother's current journey. Along with that fact, the time until their next reunion was slowly approaching, considering that his brother managed to reclaim his birth star.

The defining characteristic of someone's existence that can be bestowed at birth (naturally) or born from someone's ambitions and will (artificially). And with Rin being able to reclaim it, his journey now just got a whole lot easier as he won't just be able to regain his past strength but also achieve new heights of power.

"Now, with how helpful you were to me when we were kids... I guess it's finally time to return the favor, my brother." The kid muttered with nostalgia as scenes from their childhood flickered into existence before disappearing like a bubble suddenly popped.

'Enough! Those days have passed, Enoch... so stop dwelling on the past, for it won't return, and accept your situation for what it is,' sighed Enoch as he closed his eyes and calmed down after nearly allowing memories from his childhood to resurface and influence his mood.

"... I guess, Mom, was right all along, not every scar can be healed by ignorance and slumber," Enoch chuckled tiredly before glancing one last time at the pillar of light before crushing it and molding it into something else.

While simultaneously summoning one of his dearest friends into his domain.

"Is there something you need, En?" A forest fairy the size of a pencil asked as she wore an emerald dress, which complemented her verdant eyes and tree-pattered hair.

"Can you do me a favor, Meadow?"

"Of course! Anything for you, En, the savior of my people, and the Lord of~."

"Relax, Meadow, you don't need to always bring up my past accolades; however, since you said yes, could you impart your knowledge and understanding of the term "spirit" into this infinity symbol for me? Along with a technique to cultivate and absorb spiritual energy?" asked Enoch politely after he finished transforming the pillar of light into a glowing gray symbol of infinity that was made of a tiny, compacted symbols of eternity, matter, creation, destruction, and nothingness.

"No problem," replied Meadow with a smile, without a thought, as she took the symbol and imbued it with a lifetime of her own experiences and knowledge of this term, "spirit."

Something, every fairy, spirit, and any creature that uses soul essence to function and thrive is still seeking the meaning of. Considering that every path, whether abstract, metaphysical, or even physical, no matter its starting point, does not have an end.

Only a wall that people never break or even reach, due to a lack of devotion and drive to seek the end of their path.

For every path has a beginning, but an end, is something only the author or reader can decide...

"Done!" shouted Meadow in excitement as the infinity symbol began to glow with a darkish green color before transitioning back to gray.

"Thank you, Meadow," smiled Enoch as he flickered the infinity symbol into the void beyond his abode, where it began to shine like a star before turning into a bolt of lightning and merging with Rin silently.

Bringing an end to Pharaoh's trip to the Star Realm and, along with that, Rin's need to rely on a suspicious friend for help...
