Chapter 195 - Advent of Varick Star V

"Huh? Is something the matter?" asked Pharaoh as he stopped and faced the monk, while the rest of the crowd just watched the altercation with interest.

"Of course! For who gave you, a weakling from the lower plane, the courage to bypass the rules and regulations created by the Seven Star Gods? Plus, while I normally wouldn't care about such things, who are you to cut me in line? After I've been waiting here patiently for the past three hours to reach this point, all for some bum to cut the line and take my chance to attain a Celestial Star before me," The monk said with passion as he riled up the emotions of those waiting in line alongside him.

"Who the fuck does this fool think he is?!" A blue-eyed monkey in armor shouted as his saliva flew everywhere while he pointed at Rin like a grandmother scolding their grandbaby.

"Truly, people from the lower plane are worse than parasites!" Someone in the crowd muttered as they shook their head in disappointment.

"You can say that again! Tsk, where is the referee when you need him?" A dwarf with ash-gray hair and green eyes said as he wore brown overalls with Tims.

"Huh? What does a referee have to do with what is going on, Mat?" The dwarf's friend asked curiously as he gazed at Mat.

"... bro, I was just chatting. Don't worry about it, Jeff," Mat replied nervously with an awkward laugh.

"Okay," said Jeff with a shrug.

"Phew! Nearly blew my cover there," muttered Mat as he side-eyed Jeff before moving up in line.

"Wait, wasn't someone appointed as the regulator of this realm by the Star Gods?" said a bare-chested kid, wearing a pair of orange shorts and matching flip-flops, as he exited the line and walked toward the monk and Pharaoh.

"Hold up! Now that I think about it, this could all be resolved by someone at the front of the line asking the receptionist to call Mister X. So that he could remove this weakling from the realm for his disregard of the rules established by the Star Gods."

"Is that really necessary?" Pharaoh asked, since this would be going against the promise he made with Artemis earlier. But from the looks of things, trouble was just his middle name, so it is what it is at this point...

'Forgive me, Artemis, but it would seem peace was not something Fate had woven into the tapestry of my life.'

"Haha! Now you want to change from your wicked ways, weakling? Well, unfortunately, that isn't something you can do now, so keep quiet and stay here while someone goes to get Mister X." The one who started this entire mess laughed as the bare-chested guy walked to the front of the line to report Pharaoh.

'Welp, it seems I might as well meditate, as I wait for this Mister X to arrive and kick me out.' Pharaoh thought as he sat down and entered a meditative state.

Causing the outside world to quiet down as he only focused on the rise and fall of his chest, as his heart entered a rhythmic state with every breath he took.

Sometime later...

After, the bare-chested guy got to the front of the line and persuaded the person at the forefront to report Pharaoh. It only took a few minutes for the receptionist to report the complaint and inform Mister X of the ordeal.

"The complaint has been reported, Number 894, now due to the changes in policy for such pranks pulled in the past millennium. If it is found that this complaint is something that could have been dealt with without the intervention of Mister X, you will be temporarily blacklisted from this realm for an entire decade and not be eligible to challenge any of the trials curated by the Star Gods for half a century. Is that clear, Number 894?" The receptionist asked as she gazed at the dainty princess before her.

"Yes," the princess replied.

"Well, then, please step out of line and wait for Mister X to arrive. So, he can deal with this issue properly." The receptionist said as the princess left the line and followed behind the bare-chested guy to where Pharaoh and the monk were.

And with that, the receptionist called the next person in line. Continuing this boring yet meticulous process of filing and numbering individuals who want to partake in the Star God trials.
